I agree...I like the improvements...

Is there a search box on main page?  Not obvious to me, if there is.

Although text written in grey looks attractive it's much easier to read darker print.

I agree....a bit misleading although there might not be a more appropriate icon to denote a newsletter.  I think most people wouldn't expect to be sending an email directly from this site.....
although I clicked on everything just to check it all out.

I assume you are talking about the 4 Your Type homepage: http://www.4yourtype.com/

At the very top of the page in the black bar, on the right side of the page is the search box.

I think Chloe is talking about this page:

http://www.dadamo.com/

I think they were both probably discussing the dadamo.com page...  Due to the way I work, I hadn't noticed it yet.

Thanks.

She may be getting it from the dadamo.com site. But the 4yourtype site has the same content here (pictures and formatting are altered but the words are the same):

I have this web site bookmarked so it used to take me to a main page that was different from what it looks like now.  Never saw the link that looks like the one you just shared....My new home
page has been totally transformed.

Here's what I see when I log in.  It's all new graphics/boxes that I can click on one at a time...Each box gives a different option......The choices are Learn more about the Diet....Scientific basis. a box that says What is your type with fast links to easy to find info...then, Blood type Recipes and Learn more..Below these boxes is a photo of Dr. D's face with a dark blue background.

Even from this page, if I click on "home" it takes me back to this very same page.

http://www.dadamo.com/index.htm

Do you see anything remotely like this when you click on my link?

Yes this is how I arrived at this message board by starting with the main page and getting
to the message board...

....but I cannot do a search from the main page....that's what I was saying.

I first have to find the message board to then see a search box which is fine because I know to do
this...But for someone coming to this website for the first time....how would they be able to
search anything beyond the links provided on the main page?

The search box was always on the main page....Now it doesn't seem to be there.  Unless it is there and I can't find it.

Yes, as I said in a later post, I hadn't seen this page yet when I posted the comment you are quoting...

There is a search word on the right of the page, at the end of the menu bar, just under the icons for contact us, newsletter, etc...  Mouse over it and a box drops down to type in...
Funny, if you narrow the window so it doesn't all fit on one line, the search box moves up, but the rest of the menu bar wraps under...

Look at the far right near the top of the page.  There is a search button with a drop down arrow. It is right beside the red button for "Vitamin Shop"

(I do not think it was there when you first wrote about not being able to find it)

Look at the far right near the top of the page.

Ok, I see it when I make the page smaller....or closer to original size, but I generally enlarge
my page which completely took the search box out of my screen. I could see the home page icon
and everything up until the search bar, but on an enlarged page, "search" slips off the grid.

Might be a configuration issue...I always could enlarge my home page without losing anything.
This might only be an issue for me....maybe others don't enlarge their screen quite so large...
but personally, I can't read the light grey print as easily as the dark print....so I always enlarge
the page to prevent eye strain.  And to avoid having to put on stronger reading glasses.

I personally don't see much point to using lighter color values....just makes everything more difficult
to read.

Only one thing that's totally boring: have you ever noticed how internet developers favor the color blue for everything -- all the time?   Yuk. I've been complaining about this for years and people laugh at me, but it's true. Blue doesn't motivate you to do anything; it just sits and hangs. . I hope we can change the color to green someday for healing.

The Dadamo.com site has had a blue theme for a number years.

Similar content is available on

http://www.4yourtype.com/
http://www.genotypediet.com/
http://www.generativemedicine.org/

Which are not blue themed. (Genotype diet is already green)

Interesting thread. Blue is preferred because a significant number of men cannot distinguish certain color differences (color-blind). That's why FB is blue. Mark Zuckerberg is color-blind as well.

Blue is also a favorite color & was my fave.  As I get older, I like purple more & I'm glad that purple is the color of Curves. If it were red or yellow, I wouldn't like it. Purple seems to be cheerful & lively.
I guess a rainbow would please more people!
Anyway, I like what you do & don't notice the colors that much. That seems to be true that men don't have as good a color detector as women.....

When I was a sophomore in high school, drivers ed required that we be tested for color blindness. I and a female classmate were the only two that passed 100%.

I studied Joseph Albers color theory in college, and concluded that it was the most difficult and confounding of the formal theories. Although it was driven into us to be emotionally non-judgmental about color, the theory itself was based on relative subjectivity. I found blue to be the easiest color to work with, and it continues to be the foundation of my preferred palette because it accommodates me on an emotional level. Sorry about that Joseph.

I agree with you....I like blues and purples and some shades of red....but yellow....the worst color ever.    And yet, I'm sure there are people who love yellow.  I find red to be bold and exciting so I have to be in the mood to wear it. I have this gorgeous red long dress I just wore to a Bat Mitzvah... I got more attention in that dress than the child who had her Bat Mitzvah. People came over to me all night asking, "where did you get that dress? I love that it's red".  So obviously a red car, a long red dress....a big attention getter....I guess you scream "HOT" when you wear all red.
I think for my age....it's fun to do this! (sometimes).  Most days I'm wearing black/white. Although living in NY....this is so common to see!

Didn't mean to hijack this thread. But I'm an artist so color is a fun subject~

And for this website, I like this shade of blue.

If I was asked "what is your favorite color?" I'd have to say blue first, red second.  And the shade
of each matters.  My blues can't be greenish and my reds can't be orange-y.

Very interesting. The only other forum I post on is a light green which I also find agreeable. Having not shopped around I would not have thought blue would be that popular.
