Is there any information from Dr. D'Adamo in regards to long distance running and this diet? My husband always tells me he is supposed to have carbs after running, is that true? Would that mean only rice, quinoa, or sweet potatoes? I'm having a hard time understanding what to feed him while he's training.

Compliant carbs would be good I would think. The body needs carbohydrates for long endurance activities in a way that people just doing weights or a treadmill at a gym will not require. Carbohydrates are what muscles use for fuel. A strict paleo diet will not lend the needed reserves to run more than five or so miles at higher output.
Explorers have more carb options generally. I never did anything more than the mile which I excelled in and the ran longer runs relaxed and easy. Never did more than a four mile run so my input is limited on true distance running.
Always remember that stress plus rest equals growth. Too much training and too little rest will not give gains no matter what is used for fuel. Rest is where the gains come after the stress of the training. Eating plenty of diamonds will help u recover quickly and fully. Find out what the diamonds are;) that is medicine for after the body has been challenged in any way.
