It appears that he advocates a one-size-fits-all vegetarian diet based on one-size-fits-all outcome assessment.

I clicked this off after 7 seconds.. I can not give credence to a distorted and irrational situation..

Let his video stand. ALONE.

BUT is there not a place in which to get such items taken off???  I would participate in that for sure.. .

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

I've been in contact with Dr Gregor via email. He's willing to do an interview - back when I was still trying to get funding for a BTD documentary. I don't think he's a bad guy, and he certainly means well. You can't blame people like him (probably type A & vegetarian) who see no need to support Dr D'Adamo's work based on his own experience. He made an honest video in response to a study (albeit flawed) which looks like a scientific takedown of the BTD. If we want to be better represented, we have to represent. Unfortunately Naturopaths don't like to get into the ring with MDs.

What a gauntlet to throw down. When he mentions Hitler in the same video - you know there's got to be something wrong! That's certainly not the mark of a "nice guy" - it's just plain STUPID and ARROGANT, just like ignoring the answers given in Kicking Bubbles. No amount of "passion" and "reason" can rule that one out, although one could certainly seek out doing a video with him, I suppose......it's a free country.

It makes one wonder why Gregor chose this particular jab as of today, as of this month.... by any chance did one of his friends call up and say "hey Greg - you've been in the national eye for quite awhile now - why don't you do a video on what you think of that D'Adamo fellow's theories? Norway's calling as to why we harbor such protoscientists, compared to yourself....and I'm sure it'll be an easy take-out. Just limit to ...eh...4 minutes tops?"
(Al-Sohemy could have done a cheap 4 minute video too after the Toronto incident also.)

But Gregor should have this a long time ago....so.... why today, of all days?

I'm with Goldie; had I not been revved up I would have let the video stand alone with no commentary. I don't think I'm commenting on any more negative videos because I'm having a tough enough time defending myself from the other narcissists in the world interfering with my earning power or time that could be donated, volunteered for D'Adamo research; all narcissists can go burn themselves out on their own theories......and you know this dude hasn't tried the diet for himself. He's still too important to try it out.

He's not a lobbyist for any particular industry, in fact he stands against that.  He just takes a hammer-to-nail position on dietary guidelines for physicians typical of the simplistic, onesizefitsall nutritionist viewpoint. His agenda, aside from promoting the vegetarian diet that works for him, is to reinforce a much needed message that we can't be healthy while eating poorly. Unfortunately for everyone, his model is not based on emerging science, and distracts from the real progress being made.

http://nutritionfacts.org/2014/01/16/2015-dietary-guidelines-committee/

Quoted Text

I would like to see the committee be more explicit, though. When “eat-more” recommendations are issued, the messaging is clear—for example, “Increase vegetable and fruit intake.” But when there’s a conflict between USDA’s dual role to protect the public while at the same time promoting agricultural products, recommendations often resort to speaking in cryptic biochemical components, such as “Reduce intake of solid fats (major sources of saturated and trans fatty acids).” How about instead, eat less cheese. Or messages like drink less soda.  Eat less meat, particularly processed meat. The American Institute for Cancer Research just comes out and says it: “Processed meat like bacon, sausage, and cold cuts should be avoided.” Period. They don’t need to sell food; they just want to prevent cancer.

Good going.. Eric what is the status of your film project?  how much support are you getting from the people here?  have you ever made just a video?  I am still interested, but have not followed you as close as I sould have. soorry.

The above writitings will come your way when you are publishing your film.. at the very least this will prepare you for the onslought of this or that.

I do think many of us could make a cookingclass video for our own bloodtype or more specific our Geno type, and post them, thus balancing the others.  (I for one have never seen a post here about anyone linking to a cooking or speech-making video link... (speaks for itself)

We ought to talk what makes some videos work to be seen and others go by the wayside.  ?

Hi fellow BTDers

Whilst I certainly do not agree with this guys one size (vegetarian diet) fits all stipulations, I do concur with the sentiment I believe Eric was trying to convey - that this guy is actually breaking from the mould of the traditional alopathic establishment and is interested in the effect of diet on health. He could, under the right circumstances, become an ally. Sometimes I worry that we run the risk of becoming as 'bad' as some of the other extremist vege-vegan-fad-cabbagesoup-Atkins-et-al protesters out there if we go 'all guns blazing' angry on some of these issues and people.

This is a way of life and we all subscribe to and live/believe in it. I think that's enough right there and there are so many of us living healthy lives as a result of Dr D's work. We don't need to prove anything.

I say this with the best of intentions because I believe in Dr D and I believe in us. Let's not become them.

The tone of the man's voice was a complete turn off for me. I'm not worried at all about becoming "them." Don't judge us by what we say among ourselves about totally ignorant people. If Eric can "educate" this man, more power to him. I'm glad it isn't my job! BTW, I've seen worse comments directed at fellow posters than most of what has been said here about this man. Just thought I would mention that as a caution.

Andy, I couldn't agree with you more. Being snarly doesn't raise our stature. There's a baby in this bathwater.

Dr. Greger is advocating primarily for a reasonable dialog about diet and health. Kudos! Where he strays from that message in sneering, dismissive error, though, is the red flag. He's placed BTD under the rubric marked "no evidence", and that is simply not true. It is not reasonable dialog, and here he joins with his colleagues under the rubric marked "pseudo-skepticism".

There is a long history in the scientific community of efforts to de-value pioneers like Dr. D., purportedly to ferret out the bad from the good. Often though, merely to suppress progress in the hands of outsiders. I think this is strongly evident in the nearly hysterical outcry against Dr. D. from people of science who, one would think, are dedicated to inquiry.

I have no doubt that BT/GT diet and individualized medicine is the future, and in time we'll see it embraced at large. The disturbing question will be "What took so long." A familiar song.

I decided to listen to a little more of this video, and I've decided that anyone who believes in the work of Dr. D. even remotely couldn't defend this man in any way. Did you read the horrible emotions he was stirring up in those people? It is awful.  Even wanting to lock Dr. D. up or worse! It is so sick...... Hitler did a very good job on people in just such a monumental, disastrous way. We don't want our heads full of holes in the name of trying to be "neutral." Did you notice how the people turned on posters who mildly related their experience with the diet? No matter if someone seemingly turns this doctor's mind in some miraculous way, the damage is forever done on anyone he comes in contact with about this right now, and they will pass it on to other generations.  I wonder what his agenda really is.....

Of course, Dr. D. has suffered through untold just such situations, much of which we very likely know little if anything about. He has managed to survive, though, and be encouraged by helping so many millions have good health. And most of us have passed it on to many, many others. We need to remember that there have been many hard and vicious  battles fought and won or we wouldn't even be able to buy supplements in our time. Are we going to lose it for the next generation because of being "neutral" in our time?

Spring I don't think I would defend this doctor in any way....nor give him a pass for mentioning Hitler
in the same video where he's trashing Dr. D....I found that deplorable....and yet, I can see the benefits
of educating him where he is obviously  totally ignorant about this diet and the science behind it.

If Eric has the ability to reach this man, I applaud him for trying.

I don't see people who disagree with my beliefs as the enemy.  Most of the time, people have to try
something or do something to decide if it makes sense to them.  This doctor obviously is trusting what he's learned from the wrong people.....and as a public speaker, he's taking the wrong message
out to the public.

, I can't say I like anything about this man....but perhaps he will change his beliefs if properly educated.. I think it would be worth the attempt just to see if he would remove his youtube video once he learns more.
