There is an ancient grain making it's way onto the market, it is being touted as a healthy grain - but not so good if avoiding gluten. Here is the article I received about it :

As far as i can see its claim to fame is having a high insoluable fiber content. Being a 'wheat' it is a gluten source. There are a few websites touting it as a 'superfood'. Is probably expensive.

Quoted from Wikipedia
It compares well to other healthy grains such as quinoa and farro. Freekeh has at least four times as much fiber as some other comparable grains, consisting mostly of insoluble fiber. It also has a low glycemic index so is suitable for managing diabetes.[10]

I would do quite a bit of research before consuming any new grain or seed-like grain, especially people with chronic intestinal disorders and other related health conditions, to make sure it won't contribute to more problems internally and in future with one's health. It also may be quite acidic once digested as wheat is, and as some people are already too acidic and trying to improve their health, one may need to be cautious.
