On an older post I saw that gum was mentioned as undesirable.  I have severly dry eyes and can no long swallow pills.  Because fish oil and flax oil helps that I bought the liquid.  The brand I bought has gum in it several times.  What to do?

Thanks

Typically, I would use what I bought while 1) monitoring for negative effects, and 2) looking for a better product to buy.  If I noticed negative effects, looking for a better product would definitely get a high priority.

I would suggest looking at some oils without flavorings.

Thanks for replying.  The brand is Barlean's.   The gums are Arabic, xanthan and gear.

I would suggest using up what you already have, then look for a product that's more "pure" to replace it when it's used up. You may need to buy separate bottles of flax oil and fish oil rather than a "combination product" to avoid unwanted additives. It's up to you if you want to mix them together or take them separately.
