Fainting can have all sorts of causes.

Blood sugar? low blood pressure, low blood count?-- what did the hospital find.

What happened before you fainted? Are you in menopause?

B's are very sensitive to barometric pressure.

Other than releasing you, what did the hospital test you for and what did they do for you while you were there? If you were dehydrated, and they gave you IV fluids, you would have been ready to go home after, but you'd need to drink enough to avoid dehydration in the future. That's just one example. IV sugar solution could also have helped if you'd had low blood sugar or low blood pressure.

Jasmine, that is a very scary experience.  I hope you see your primary care provider right away and have him or her run a number of tests.  There are a lot of possible causes and the emergency room is just there to save you from imminent death - short of that they're not going to help you find the real cause.  Please do go in to see your doctor and find out because if you faint again you may not be so lucky - you could really hurt yourself.

Do you have braces on your teeth?
I believe braces might cause some people to faint.

Jazmine, I hope all is better and answers reveal themselves soon, hope they checked your potassium levels too.  I remember once, in a  hospital, I had to drink a pott....m supplement, a little bitter - as I had diarrher and, vomiting for a few days before - and adrenals if under stress, can cause minerals to go out of balance - the chi/qi/prana needs to flow effortlessly through all body organs/systems and all cells need nutrients, as do cells need to get rid of wastes regularly during the day. Hope you are feeling better and are ok now.

No idea, but hoping you are ok...

No constriction on your bra? and eating early in the day?

for how long past out?  did you wake before going to the hospital?  How did you feel since waking?  alert?  did someone suggest a seizure?  staying up toooo late?

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

I really hope jazmine is doing okay and that there is nothing seriously wrong!  Anxiously awaiting for
her to check back in.

"The medical term for fainting is syncope. Fainting is a sudden loss of consciousness, usually temporary and typically caused by a lack of oxygen in the brain. The brain oxygen deprivation has many possible causes, including hypotension (low blood pressure).

The following words or phrasal expressions also mean to faint: to pass out, to black out, to fall unconscious, to fall in a faint. The verbs to come to and to come round mean to recover consciousness.

Sometimes syncope may be just that - a fainting episode with no medical importance. On some occasions, however, it may be caused by a serious illness, condition or disorder. Every case of fainting should be treated as a medical emergency until the cause is known and signs and symptoms have been treated. Anybody who has recurring fainting episodes should contact their doctor."
