Years ago I noticed that pork products produced major increases in the urinary indicans of my patients. Indican is a sign of toxemia/bowel disturbance, Now, a new study validates that twenty-year old observation:

They didn't really say whether or not pork specifically did. But considering the success of paleo diet (Type O, B, and some Explorers), it would seem very reasonable that knowing meat can influence the biome so significantly, that one should try to know whether or not it is in their favor or not.

this is the food the test subject ate-- I would say it is the almost all pork products--

"The first diet was all about meat and cheese. "Breakfast was eggs and bacon," David says. "Lunch was ribs and briskets, and then for dinner, it was salami and prosciutto with an assortment of cheeses. The volunteers had pork rinds for snacks."

You might also conclude that processed meat and nitrates degrades one's biome.

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.
