Grilled fresh sardines are wonderful. Though Ive never tried it, I suppose mackerel would be nearly the same.

Here's a recipe you might want to try.  Seems very compliant for an A if you use ghee instead of
butter and leave off the pepper.  Actually I think I might prefer to mix olive oil and ghee instead of using
all ghee.
