Ingredients

Filtered water, tapioca and/or arrowroot flours, non-GMO expeller pressed canola and /or non-GMO expeller pressed safflower oil, coconut oil, pea protein, salt, vegan natural flavors, inactive yeast, vegetable glycerin, xanthan gum, citric acid (for flavor), titanium dioxide (a naturally occurring mineral).
These are the ingredient in a dairy feee and soy free cheese.  Coconut oil is the only thing I see that is an avoid.  What do you think?

Thanks

natural flavors -- may contain MSG or other nasty things.  Ask the company for specifics.  "Has MSG been added?  Do any flavorings contain MSG or are they corn-derived?"  My experience with dairy-free imitations is that they cause worse reactions in me than the real thing.  Good luck!

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

It looks like processed "non food" to me. It might be OK occasionally as a condiment, but stuff like this shouldn't  be the mainstay of your diet.

Try using nutritional yeast for a "cheesy" flavor in foods.

Canola oil - bad even if non GMO.  Vegetable glycerin - from corn????
coconut oil - Avoid for all but A nonnies.
Citric acid - usually made from GMO corn.
titanium dioxide - WHAT - are they making white paint?  Your body doesn't need this stuff!
Xanthan gum - usually made from GMO corn.

My opinion:  RUN, RUN, AS FAST AS YOU CAN away from this stuff!

I agree, stay away from this.  our bodies need fresh, whole natural foods.
I understand though how addictive dairy is, and some go onto dairy substitutes for a while.  Your liver and cells really are needing mostly vegetables, and whole foods, some juices - esp greens. well mine is.

A small amount of Titanium Dioxide is added to CLA capsules to make them opaque. The Titanium dioxide is only in the outer coating. This stops light from reaching the oil in the capsule and degrading it. Without the titanium dioxide one has a greater risk of the oil becoming rancid before people take the pills. The choice was made to expose people to titanium dioxide instead of rancid oil.

Titanium Dioxide is dispersed throughout the cheese product. It is added not preserve the cheese, but to make it look white.  It is there for cosmetic purposes. Certain cheeses people think should appear white (Mozzarella, for instance).
