I have just read "Maximise Your Health" by Dr James D'Adamo and noticed that there are several major differences in the foods suggested for each blood type than suggested by Dr Peter D'Adamo.  Has this topic been commented on before? Why are the differences? The more I read into the BTD the more confused I become.

There have been many threads talking about this.

May I perhaps I avoid getting bogged down with the detail and concentrate on the many things that they agreed on.

Both are amazing Men who were and are way ahead of their time.

everybody thinks through things differently, the people they are treating would have been different but eventually they would have got to the same place. i suspect that if James D'Adamo had been born in Peter's time he would have used computers more and their work would have converged.

What a legacy though, both should be SO proud.

I'm not sure but I suspect that Peters Dad was blood type O where as Peter is blood type A, (correct me if I'm wrong) so the approach and personal experience may have been different.

Interesting to note that many Doctors/ specialist in the Gluten arena are now pretty much saying what peter has been saying for a long time. That lectins are the key to health. unfortunately they are not giving credit to Peter and trying to make it look like they have figures it out themselves.

However We Know the truth!

Dr James D'Adamo is Dr Peter D'Adamo's late father. They were two different individuals, who studied slightly different things and came to slightly different conclusions.

You need to pick one diet and stick with it. There's nothing wrong with reading more and learning more to increase your general understanding of the topic, but you need to  focus when you're ready to take action.

The easy way to explain the difference between father & son is that the father had version 1.0 and the son has had versions 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0.  Each new version had more information to build off of.
