Bloody red meat eater on BTD

Hello again.  So I've noticed the past 3-4 days that if I'm hungry, I don't feel hungry in my stomach, but I get a dull, annoying headache and feel foggy.  Have other Os experienced this?  Should I expect it to continue?

Yes, I've absolutely have had this happen to me. If your blood sugar is low and/or you're dehydrated you may feel that way. A snack with water may help. But what I have found really works well for me is this smoothie I make with my bullet blender. It contains pineapple juice, cranberry juice, cherry juice, ARA 6, trehalose complex, Harmonia Delux, a squirt of Pro-Berry, and sometimes a little O Protein powder. I can whip that up in about a minute and in about 30 minutes or so I feel a whole lot better. I think the magic part is the Harmonia Delux, but I really don't like the taste. The only way I've found to get it in me is to put it in this smoothie that I sort of invented on my own. You may try different things, but the Harmonia Delux, which is just awful, I know, really does the trick. I hope that helps you.

Sounds like a hangover - being dehydrated could be the cause.

Drink water when you're hungry but you know you shouldn't eat and you might be surprised.

For me, I don't really feel thirsty most of the time.  I have to remind myself to drink water most of the time.

Thanks, everybody!  I definitely do feel dehydrated, so I'm drinking LOTS more water!  Also, I'm trying to get away from powders and pills, but I did make a pretty kick-expletive deleted O-type smoothie:

4 pitted dates, soaked over night
1/4 cup almond butter
1 banana
1 cup frozen mango
1 cup frozen blueberries

Blend.

I could drink that all day.

Wow- that's a LOT of fruit! I know my blood sugar wouldn't stay stable after eating all that fruit in one sitting. My smoothies generally contain about a cup of greens plus about 1/2 a banana or 1/2 cup of another fruit, plus egg protein and some almond butter or almond meal and sometimes flax too.

I found sticking to regular routine of mealtimes helps, with the right time of protein, veg and grain mix and fat of course, to make it a balanced meal. Headaches also can be due to sluggish activity in liver or intestines ie a low metabolism.  Toxicity can build up and one won't even be aware of this.  Make some herbal tea/wise water every morning and try and drink 3 cups before midday. A fresh raw juice may help, I make mine around 11am or soon after - beet, carrot, celery, apple.
some nice smoothie recipes above, I intend to try them one day.  For now, I do better with only small amounts of fruit, some stewed apple/pear and prune before breakfast, and around 4pm I eat some inca berries, a little macqui berry powder, or some goji berries, or blueberries, with nuts which help due to the fat/protein.  Once neuro-endocrine system strengthens up, I will then have a little more fruitilicious!
My weight is now just over 52kg so I am making slow progress with improved assimilation of nutrients and better elimination, 14 months ago I was only 46kg (that may have been around 100 lbs).  I do early morning walk and yoga pranayama and yoga mudra which is helping.
I am so happy about access to ghee, spices, grains, sheeps yoghurt (which I leave in sieve / strainer) overnight, vegetables (esp the greens and root veg), eggs, fish, and other animal proteins (my adrenals seem to need mostly fish at present, yes.... some red meat at lunch time sometimes).  I will cook split fava beans this weekend for lunch. Anyone out there eaten the split dried fava beans?? If so, how did you season??
