Hi there, can anyone tell me if there is any evidence to say that by following your blood type diet will improve symptoms of endeometriosis or even cure it. I have a feeling with all the gutt problems, ibs, chromes etc O's get could this be connected and or cured by eating accordingly.

Type A Women with Endometriosis

In Response To: Any Type A Women with Endometriosis

When 'CBS This Morning' profiled the book about a year ago, they featured one of my patients (type A) who had suffered from endometriosis for almost 20 years. By simply following the A diet and taking some bromelain pills (pineapple enzyme) and fatty acid supplements (black current seed oil capsules) she was asymptomatic and continues to be so. In general, I've found the condition to be far more common in type A, though frankly, I do not know why the A diet works, but it does.

so if it works for As, why not try the O diet and have it work for you too........my opinion is, it works, because this anti inflammatory approach is exceptional

my first advice to you would be to find out your secretor status asap, to help finetune your guidelines

Hi Lola, My sister is being treated for endo and my teenage daughter is displaying all the signs too. I know im an O and my sister is an O, So prosuming my daughter is an O, i have ordered the blood typing kits for all the family so that we know who is what. If once we find out what my eldests blood type is get her to follow her diet to a T, I will get the secretor status test for her to see if she can self medicate by just following that, the doctors are being useless with her and she is in alot of pain bleeds constant has the weight gain to match as well as the moods and ibs issues (ibs makes me prosume shes the O type blood). So yes im on a mission for all the family.
thank you C sharp, i will go and have a good read of those links right now x

The diet works for just about anything, but I also have heard that fasting helps with endo.   It gets rid of benign tumors as it cleanses the body. I don't know how long it takes, but it helps.
There are pracititioners that deal with fasting, so see what you can find.
You will get good help here at this forum, too, so stick around!
