When you're at work, what do you quickly grab to eat? Situation is, I'm at work and wasn't able to bring my lunch. I could eat this pack of tuna and some peas... but it won't fill me up. I'm having a hard time thinking of what to grab at the grocery.... fast food wouldn't work because it is negative compliant lol.
I love making things in my nuwave oven. You could make meats in advance and heat them at work. I am avoiding meat right now (AB on a diet), however the nuwave really makes things easier and lowers the bad fats.
I also use the crock pot a lot. You can use the canned turkey/chicken and a cream of mushroom soup, add veggies like a pot pie, and pour it over a cup of rice that you heat in the microwave. I try not to make stuff in plastic, but they have those rice cups.
You could roll up meat, maybe add cream cheese (if you can tolerate). I would heat the meat to steaming before eating, and watch the package for too much processing.

Chinese is my #1 fallback. Beef & Broccoli with white rice provides 3 beneficial foods for me. Or Hunan Beef with black bean sauce. Unfortunately the sauce contains some wheat and dye, but it doesn't bother me too much.
Pizza and salad is another option. I don't eat the crust -- I eat only the topping.
We have a deli nearby that roasts their own beef, so another option is about .35lb roast beef plus a package of mixed greens.
Another idea is takeout Mexican food. Fajitas are perfect for me -- I ditch the tortillas.
My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

I'm sorry I didn't see this a few hours ago. In a pinch, I'd grab some rice cakes at the store and maybe a bag of prewashed lettuce and a lemon. Keeping a small bottle of olive oil at work is a good idea. I find that I need SOME amount of carbs or I won't feel full- so a can of black beans to add to the salad, or some rice cakes to eat alongside, will keep me more satisfied than trying for a low-carb, low-calorie lunch and then risk heading for the snack machine later.

Yeah, lunch at work is a pain sometimes... I found rice cakes are a good fall back and nice with a pesto spread on them?! Although finding an additive free one is sometimes hard! If I had no time to prepare, a nearby place would sell me just some sliced roast beef or lamb which was good and preservative free... Otherwise I used to take either precooked meat and sometimes rice and reheat in a tiny rice cooker or small crock pot... Or other times I'd just cook it at work in same...

Buy a bag of compliant nuts(sometimes you can find raw ones in the stores). They have protein & fat & should fill you up. I need salt on mine, so I guess I would try to keep some sea salt handy.
You might even find sea salt in the stores. The nuts are also neat to eat & you can eat them while walking if time is short.

Good suggestions from other people above, I am away from home today, and before leaving, made a quick green salad (mixed salad greens, fresh lime juice, olive oil, sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper, a small slice of avocado - I forgot the cucumber this morning) before I left, plus in a separate container I put a lightly boiled egg, with steamed vegetables, a small knob of butter, a sprinkle of mineral-rich salt. Plus for a snack on my way home, I have some green pumpkin seeds and walnuts which I had lightly roasted in the oven yesterday. Sometimes, a little fat can give what is missing, some people think grains will work, but for others, it is the fat or salt which makes a difference. and for some, rice is avoided due to starch intolerance, especially if the small intestine is still healing. Another idea is to get some blanched almonds, sautee in olive oil, spice like allspice, cayenne pepper and salt, keep in fridge, and just take some with you to keep you going.
