My daughter did them and were working on which ones. I have white lines but they go verticle (up and down the fingers). Would those be the same as the white lines?

Thanks for all the help everyone. I really need the help through this part.

I have lots of specific questions I am asking myself. What do you all do with your black dot items? Are they really okay to have?

Wouldn't it be better to get extra super foods than extra best avoided foods? I ask because I should get 3 red meat (I would only eat beef which is a black dot and I'm avoiding all meat that isn't fish).

Should I put turkey back in my diet. I get 3x a week and its a diamond super food? I am trying not to eat meat and lose weight as recommended in the book.

There's no problem making bread and  baked goods for your family from allowable ingredients. Learning to rely on "fewer breads" is a healthier alternative for those individuals who don't bake on their own, and would end up choosing ready-made products wtih "avoid" ingredients. Also, many people have difficulty with portion control with baked goods, and may do better avoiding them altogether rather than onver-eating them.

The worsening of allergies may be due to toxins being released as you lose weight. It may not be directly related to the quantity of yogurt you've  been eating. Also, if you suspect that "too much yogurt" is, indeed, causing you problems, you may do better eating "too many eggs" for now. I've always focused on "getting the right amount of animal protein from all sources" rather than strictly following the serving sizes for each type.

You definitely shouldn't be eating any "black dot" foods right now. After 3-6 months, you can try each one individually to see how you respond. I've found that I don't do well on any of my black dots- any given "black dot" food I'll eat  maybe once or twice a year, usually at a social gathering or if I'm preparing holiday food for a crowd. Then again, I do the same thing with some avoids (such as apples, sugar, and honey- never wheat, corn or potatoes!) The only "black dot" I can have regularly is cinnamon.

I'm not sure why it's giving you 3 servings a week of a category that contains nothing but avoids and black dots. It sounds like a glitch in the software. I'd transfer those 3 servings a week to another protein source, such as eggs, dairy, fish, or beans.

What are your reasons for avoiding meat? If turkey is a diamond for you, your health probably would benefit from eating it 1-3 times a week.

The one black dot, was a black dot and wasnt a black dot on a different one I ran. I hope I have the right stuff entered now. Its calamari and I havent had any in a while, but always do great when I eat it.

Ive been losing weight since June, down 17lbs in almost 4 months, right at a 1b a week.

Ruth, its not a glitch, it may be how I explained it Im not sure.

The red meat options are...
Beef, Liver
Calf, Liver
Goat ◊
Lamb
Mutton
Rabbit
Let me say Yuck 5000 times over. So I have Frequency: 3 servings weekly that I need to make up somewhere.

These are some of my serving sizes:
Red meat 3 weekly servings (I dont eat these)
Poultry 3 weekly (Im avoiding meat to lose weight to follow Dr D in his blood type book)
I love Turkey, but usually turkey burgers I buy frozen or turkey bacon.

Fish and Seafood 5 weekly

6 Eggs a week

Dairy 4 per week

Oils 5 per week (1T)

carbs 2 per day

live foods 6 per day ( I dont get enough of this, and need ranch powder or other seasonings to cook and eat)

I'm not sure you need to follow the "no meat as per ABs in the BTD book" when you're following your individualized SWAMI. Since you entered your height and weight into SWAMI, it knows you need to lose weight and that's already been factored in. You're not just an AB. You're you. Explorers need more meat than Warriors or Teachers.

Have you actually tried your beneficial and diamond red meats, or is the "yuck" just from the thought of them?

If you're really unwilling to try goat or lamb or liver, then I'd suggest eating extra fish or egg servings. Not one extra egg per "serving" of red meat, but an equivalent number of ounces of eggs in place of the red meat- probably 2 or 3 eggs per "serving." I'd suggest adding in 1 or 2 extra servings of eggs and 1 or 2 extra servings of fish- whichever is easier for you. It's even OK if you change it each week.

When eating live foods, bear in mind that greens cook down VERY small. 1 cup of spinach cooks down to about 1/3 cup of cooked greens, but it has all the nutrition of a full cup of greens. So, 1 cup of cooked spinach is really 2-3 "cups" of live foods. At least, that's how I've always counted it.

What exactly is in the "ranch powder" you use? Is it just a blend of spices or are there other ingredients? You could possibly make your own from 100% compliant ingredients. Many cooked veggies taste great with just a little oil and salt.

I have been using and am almost out of the ranch powder used to make ranch. It has few carbs and salt. Buttermilk, salt, dried garlic, dried onion and the unnamed spices are the main ingredients in the dressing. I see online there is a dry buttermilk and Im going to a store that may have it in a little while. I cant wait, the baby has never pushed his own cart, just mine, and this store has the little ones. I hope theres one available.

All the red meat sounds gross. I have only smelled liver before, smelled gross. I have been asking around about lamb/goat, and I found it at a health food store, but Im very affraid to cook/try it. I wish I knew of a resturaunt I could 'try' it so I know how its supposed to look and taste. Actual beef is a black dot, in a couple months would I be able to allow it 3x a week? I dont know if I would want it that much anyhow, but I could do once a week for red meat needs. I really prefer Turkey when ground meat, but I like steak or turkey.

I do need to see if I can make pretzels from scratch my own way, to add ranch to.

The vertical lines are not the same as the horizontal ones caused by gut issues...

I don't recall a definitive explanation about the vertical lines...

I don't care for the way raw liver smells and it definitely doesn't look appetizing, but it is really good for me.  I have learned to cook it so it is tender and spice it with beneficial spices so I get the most benefit possible when I eat it...  Some keys are: just cook it in ghee until it is done - maybe a very light pink in the center, but no more.  It just continues to get tougher the longer it is cooked.  I spice it to taste with sprinkles of mustard powder, garlic, and turmeric.  Sometimes I saute onion or onion and apple to go on the side.

Lamb is very good.  There are many methods and spicing option depending on taste and cut of meat, so look for recipes online and venture forth.

Typically, black dot foods are NOT meant to fulfill the full recommendations for a food group.  They are for inclusion in modest amounts and if you start gaining weight or get sick you may want to remove them again...

Thanks for the tips. How do you feel after eating the liver and lamb Joe?

I do need to venture forth. Is beef liver good for B's also? My wii man (baby B) is eating steak for lunch today.

Off I go to change the white lines to no on my Swami. I doubt it will change anything.

Wait it took away liver, from superfood to neutral so still allowed. It gave me back calamari from black dot to neutral.

Thanks for the tips. How do you feel after eating the liver and lamb Joe?

I feel pretty rough all of the time due to detoxing junk that built up from having an impaired gut and liver for so long.  Eating liver helps my liver clean, so I can remove more of the chemicals from the body.  It isn't about short term feel good, it is about meeting the needs of my body to move a job along.

There are also times when I need more red meat than just the liver.  I can usually feel when it is needed and eat it.  It fills the need at the time.

I hope you feel better soon.

I generally feel pretty good, though I am certain I have gut issues, I dont think they are effecting me. I do take coq10, and find on days when I dont there is a difference. I have some general muscle aches, possibly from the extra weight and fact that I tote around a 35+ lb toddler and my age.
