many people take fish oil due to inflammation in body, I would try and do all to prevent inflammation in the first place or find out what is causing inflammation; lifestyle factors plus the right foods at right times of the day, can take time to find out what suits you; it took me a long time; but now am getting results along with yoga and walking. hooray for fresh tumeric!
many people these days focussing a lot on omega oils; we need many nutrients every day, and I am more concerned about minerals myself (well I was but now things are better). I need just little amount of fats, and get them in nuts/seeds for breakfast, plus some other nuts for a snack around 4pm, plus olive oil in small green salad before lunch and a drizzle of oil in my evenings soup, and spices in ghee. Grains and quinoa/amaranth have fat within them. I also now avoid the foods that dry out system or soak up water internally, such as rice cakes, and most baked goods.
