(a) Non fluoridated water.

(b) Add to your drinking water a pinch of sea salt for better hydration.

What type of water comes out of your tap?

We happen to have well water on our property, so this is what I drink.

You could drink Spring water, but if it were me, I would stay away from buying water sold in plastic bottles.
Glass is a better option.  I wouldn't drink distilled and reverse osmosis is something you'd have to consider
cost-wise. It's would have to be installed to your water system.

I have an above the sink water filter from Multi-Pure.  It removes basically all contaminates except fluoride.  My city doesn't add fluoride, but if you're dealing with that, you'll need something more than what I have.  I wouldn't personally drink water that has all the minerals removed, so I'd probably go with glass bottled spring water in that case.

Modified to add:
Reverse Osmosis takes out the fluoride and the minerals too.  You might find a good balance by adding back in something like Concentrace Trace Mineral Drops from seawater, but I'd still not recommend it.

Most public water in the US and Canada is "hard", ie. it contains both Calcium and Magnesium and is, health wise, a step up from soft or mineral free water. If you have added Fluorine or Chlorine you have complicating issues but generally public systems have more resources to ensure water quality than bottled water companies.

The problem i would have with bottled water is both the plastic containers and the limited ability to monitor quality. Public water, besides being cheap and easy and convenient, is likely your best health bet. IMHO.

Here our tap water is fluoridated   so I mostly drink Italian Pellegrino in glass bottles ...I had a jug filter, but it didn´t remove the fluoride. I recently came across an alkaline water filter jug and wondered if it´d be worthwhile investing in ...it seems to be at least 3 times the price of regular jug filters. Does anyone know what exactly these types of filters remove??  and does water need to be alkaline anyway??? it is such a confusing area

I am searching for a good water to drink also and like to hear other options.

Trehalose raises my blood sugar so I add lemon or sea salt to water thru reverse osmosis and supplement with Pelligrino.

I drink a lots of water and it helps my blood sugar and joint.

sharing this just so you can get a some information about the types of drinking water you could
be choosing....If you wish, ignore the part about any products being sold because I know nothing about this mineral formula and am not recommending anything sold on this website.  Just want you all to be able to be better informed about what to drink.

In Eat Right Dr. D recommends sparkling or mineral waters for Os.  Good for our acidic systems.  I also have a filter on my refrigerator and drink the water there.

I am a Type O non secretor and I did not respond well to the Alkaline Water off the shelf as they add Sodium Bicarbonate (an antacid), di-pottasium, Magnesium Sulfate and Calcium Chloride to alkalinize the water.

The units on the market that plug in change the alkalinity with electrical current which I really benefited from.

I know it won't be sparkling water....and I'm certain it wouldn't be water in plastic bottles....so I'd
have to sort of intuit that it's likely to be pure water, and probably wouldn't matter if it's filtered
tap water or spring water.  But going back to the clinic in 2 weeks and will ask if I can remember!

Sunnyside, the answer is yes.  Better to have something that isn't carbonated for A's if I recall.

Thanks, Chloe! It would be wonderful if you could ask Dr. D what he recommends for us A's...even...what does he drink himself?

Rosa,

Check out the website thegirlagainstflouride. She is an Irish girl who is lobbying to get the fluoride taken out of Irish tap water.

Best wishes,

I use my tap water, after it's gone through a Berkey water filter kind of pricey up front, but we're very happy with it.

If going by BTD, yes.  But, just to note, my SWAMI has seltzer water marked as a Neutral.

Hey, Spring, have you tried it yet with that recipe listed on the forum using cranberry concentrate and ginger with honey or other sweetner of choice?  Wow, it's great to have when you are feeling indulgent!

Better yet, using black cherry concentrate with seltzer is even better!!!!  Because it is so naturally sweet, nothing extra needed.  This black cherry seltzer doesn't cause my arthritic finger to escalate in pain.  The cranberry one can because the use of more than 1 teaspoon of honey at a time for me (and you need at least a Tablespoon in this drink) does make my pain level rise for a while.

Don't advise doing it often since the seltzer water is only a Neutral.

No, I haven't tried anything like that since I have been on the diets, but it certainly sounds like something I could enjoy now and then! Thanks! Before the diets, we used to mix Fresca and white grape juice. Yummy! No way would I drink that now!

I just drink tap water that's gone through a Brita filter. Thank G-d they don't add fluoride to the water here! There is chlorine in the tap water, but the Brita filter removes that.
