Was wondering if B's can eat Havarti Cheese. It is not listed on the app, and I love it. However, I dont want to eat it if it will zffect me adversely. TIA.

For the blood type diet, if foods are not rated, they are considered Neutral - unless you have a negative response to the food...

Having said that, I usually look to The Genotype Diet ratings for additional information, if the food is rated in that system.
Havarti is rated as (in the book):
   Avoid for Gatherer.
   Avoid for Explorer.
   Superfood for Nomad.
Using this rating system, it is either really bad or really good for Type B.

To get a more individualized rating, you would need to get SWAMI...

My B Nomad son has eaten havarti in the past without any problem.

Buy a little bit and try it to see if it agrees with you. If it does, go with it. You're a type B so enjoy your cheeses (in moderation of course) as often as you can. The nomads system is prone to bacterial overgrowth and many cheeses prevent the overgrowth.

I eat it without any problem ( danish harvarti that might be different than the US version)
- strangely enough it is rated black dot for me on my nomad swami
and I have almost no dairy rated avoid or /black dot

or the jalapeno

Did you know it is actually a trad. danish cheese - but with no flavours that is an all americano thing

it is one of the most popular children cheeses here- the most fatty cheese on the market but oh so good especailly made with organic pastured jersey milk

That's one of the reasons, HBS, that I don't buy it - it seems boring to me. The incorporation of a bit of dill, then, wasn't a bad "americano" idea, IMO.

I agree- makes it interesting.
We can get very boring harvarti as well- but te organic dairies seem to make a much more interesting version- I guess the grassfed jersey milk really make a good difference compared to boring holstein grainfed conventional milk.

My Nomad son loves Havarti.  Occasionally at his house I’ll cheat and have a slice on the burger he grilled up.  My only reaction to eating cheeses that are a no no for me is that I get a bit gassy which could cause for embarrassment.
