Hi all, new to the BTD. I've been paleo/primal for the past two years, which essentially means lots of meat, veggies, and good fats with no or limited fruit, no grains, no sugar. Dairy is up to the individual. Well, I was attracted to BTD and found that, since I'm Type A, the diet is almost the exact opposite of paleo/primal. I'm about two weeks into following the Type a regimen (and I've done a SWAMI). Got to admit, I feel a little bloated in the belly (due to more grains/fruit?), but I definitely feel more "alive". I think the extreme amount of meat I ate one the paleo diet caused some general adrenal fatigue.
Does anyone have a story to share about going from paleo to Type A? How long did it take to get through the initial stage? Did you gain weight?

sorry to feel forced to correct adrenal fatigue do has other causa then eating meat ...
Ok, maybe not textbook adrenal fatigue; let's say slow digestion and low mood, then. Eating LOTS of pork, beef, eggs, other meat and LITTLE fruit and no grains made me thin, but kind of "blah". Just wondering if anyone else has gone from primal to BTD. Most of the archive posts I've read have been people wanting to integrate the two, not transition from one to the other,
The Type A diets are lower in grain than the typical american diet.
I can understand wanting to combine the two, as one might want to maintain/lose weight. But I can tell you I never lost weight doing paleo like stuff, well lots of muscle. But nothing in the world can make me lose weight.
There is a guy that I know who is Type A and eats pretty paleo. During the day he's pretty decent dude but at night if he drinks he can barely communicate or anything. I don't expect it to work for long.
