Just happed upon another cool manufacturer: Three Twins.
Northern California-based, but available elsewhere.

Here's the flavor I tried:

http://www.threetwinsicecream.com/icecream/flavors/dads-cardamom

But you can look around the site and find plenty more, if you're in the market for ice cream as the mercury soars...

Fresh Market has its own brand of ice cream that's nearly just cream, sugar and  natural flavoring.

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

There are two Fresh Market stores in California: Palo Alto and Roseville -- neither is in the LA area.
(googled Fresh Market>website>store locations)

The closest that I have found locally is some of the Ben & Jerrys varieties. Even Haagen Daz has corn syrup in it now days. Once every few months I'll buy a pint if it is corn free. In the old, old days I was a fan of Haagen Daz Rum Raisen. Nowdays it is just too much trouble.

I looked at several varieties of Haagen Daz in the store and read the ingredients lists. Several (at least 3/4's) of the varieties have corn syrup. I found a couple that did not, Rum Raisen is one and it has 8 ingredients. Pistachio is one of the varieties that doesn't even have sugar, just corn syrup.None of the H. D.  Gelato varieties was corn free. and most had wheat in them also. As allways products change their recipes without announcing the change.

Right.
But she was specifically referring to Haagen Dasz's "Five" line.
Have you seen that in the stores?
Something like a half-dozen flavors of "Haagen Dasz Five", including vanilla, mint, lemon, some others.
