Hi Lisa,

I often refer to this list on Dr. D's site:

Due to copyright issues, the food lists are not available online by blood type.

The most up-to-date food values for the BTD plan are at the link Taxman provided.

Hello,

I and my friends have started on 4 blood type diet recently. We're not English so we have just a translation and I think there could be some inaccuracy - I can see it in different books. We also miss some type of food.
I hope I will find answers here .

So, we cant find acidified milk. It's similar to kefir milk but it's a little bit different. I don’t want to count on the similarity because for example I can eat bulgar but I cannot eat shredded wheat. But Bulgar is a shredded wheat...so there has to be a little difference...
We also cant identify one special type of cheese. It's that kind of cheese for “cheesecake”.
I assume I cant eat it, even it's sour (because cottage is sour, too and I cant eat it). I need “your” exact name for it.
We also miss gervais and something we called “Lucina” (http://www.mojelucina.cz/produkty/ and probably better http://www.czfcdb.cz/en/food/?id=103).
I desperately looking for something on bread.
And the last one is a Mascarpone cheese.

So, can you please help me and my friends? We are type A and 0, but every types would be great!

Thank you very much

Sue

Quoted from TJ
"Cream cheese" is used in cheesecake.

You can also use Neuchaftel sometimes sold as "lite" cream cheese.

Lisa, when you say, 'the book', are you referring to Eat Right 4 Your Type - Dr. D's first blood type book?  If so, see if you can get a copy of Live Right 4 Your Type.  It is much more recent and is my favorite "Bloodtype" book.  The food lists are basically up to date, although you can doublecheck anything here on this website, at the link Taxman provided.

http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm

Or go to the top of the page, under Online Support, click on TYPEbase Food Values, and it will give you the rating for each food.

Mascarpone is a lovely sweet/tart soft cheese, used in Italian desserts.

There is an inexpensive smart phone app which has food lists.  It is put out by Dr. D. and it is wonderful.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.  Blessings, meribelle

Thank you to all of you for deciphering the cheesecake problem.
It's good to hear I can use Ricotta for cheesecake (I love cheesecake).

To cajun: If you say "lovely" and you're "A", I assume Mascarpone is ok with A? I was thinking it's high fat level...so it will be avoided..

Any suggestions for:
acidified milk
gervais
Lucina

I also find Almette (http://www.messeshop-deutschla.....ur/almette_natur.jpg)
And I dont know if it's at least Neutral

I also find I can use peanut butter and I can make it at home   it's goooood! But I dont think it will be healthy for every day even for A type

btw, thank you for editing my profile and put there A mark

Almette comes in different flavors.

So one would have to look in the ingredients of each.

Here is the plain sort of flavor:
cottage cheese, milk proteins, water, skimmed milk powder, salt, acidity regulator: citric acid.

I presume cottage cheese is the top ingredient in all flavors.

Cottage cheese is an avoid for A secretors.

Lucina - I would use the rating for cream cheese. (Others might do quark, but I think it is more like cream cheese)

Gervais - I would use the rating for cream cheese.

I presume your acidified milk is made by fermenting with leuconostoc mesenteroides. I would use the buttermilk rating, but this is a wild guess.

Thanks for these information.
I know this will sound very stupid but I still have to ask.
I know A type has recommended soy.
In Czech, we have some other diets which tells soy beans OK but soy meat never.

So, is everything from soy (including soy meat) ok?

If the soy meat product does not contain avoid ingredients, use the rating for soy granules.

In general, get the least processed soy products possible.
