Just be as compliant as you can on the BTD. But always pay attention to which allowable foods really don't make you feel good or have any bad symptoms; eliminating them as you go forward.
When you finally can get your SWAMI, I'll bet you will be pleasantly surprised at how 'right' you were eating under the guidelines of the BTD.
I've done the best with SWAMI. I like it best because it has allowed me to bring back into my Beneficial/Diamond column many foods that I LIKE. Yes, of course, there are some foods that you will see that will moved to Restricted or Avoid, but chances are if you pay attention to your body under the BTD, you will not be too surprised. For example, under SWAMI, lamb is a Beneficial! It's so nice to have a solid red meat that I can eat weekly! During my 14 + years under BTD and GTD I never considered trying it but craved meat every so often.
