For oil pulling recommended oils are sesame or sunflowers. Both are avoid for me. Should I be concerned if I use them for oil pulling? Thanks for answering. |

Thanks for the links!
I forgot to mentioned, that I was thinking of doing oil pulling primarily to take of too much plaque that forms on my teeth. Of course would love to get other benefits as well. |

I do it every day now, teeth feel great after, plus many other benefits
I thought is was okay to swallow the oil initially (a while ago- now I have read more) - this is definitely not a good idea - you must spit it out after pulling. |

I have been using EVOO for the past 4 days .I like the clean feel of my teeth. I really want to get my gingivitis cleared. I have 6 months till my next dental cleaning. I have also ordered tooth soap, as I read it is great for cleaning since does not contain glycerin, like regular toothpaste. I was wondering if ghee would work for oil pulling. I think it would be delicious Anyone? |

so, you just swish the oil in your mouth and then spit out? I will read more on this later.... having some major issues with my gums and teeth. |

Yes, that's right I swish 1 tbl of EVOO first thing in the morning for 15 min and then spit it out in the toilet and brush my teeth. If you google pulling you will find lots of info. |

Marjorie, I began oil pulling over a year ago after reading a post by Christina from Australia. I have used sunflower oil, safflower oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil and coconut oil. So far, I like coconut oil best but now am going to try almond oil. I only swish ( its actually a swish/pull all over inside mouth )for 10 minutes then spit out into paper towel...then gargle and swish with plain water very thoroughly to get rid of toxins you just "pulled out". Some oils are not good for septics/sewer systems. Benefits; healthier gums, teeth (brightens teeth, too), detox, aids with sinus trouble |

If you use coc oil, do you heat it up so it is liquid? I am assuming so. |

Lin is right...but I usually heat mine just to melt a little...because I drizzle some over my dogs dry food for their morning meal! I know...they are spoiled! But it is good for their coats and they love the taste...even better than when I use fish oil! |

In the Book, Genotype Diet, extra virgin coconut oil is a Diamond Superfood for Nomads and commercial coconut oil is a Toxin. Are you working with a SWAMI Nomad food list? |

Thanks, Lin! I like to think they are happy! My sons have always told everyone that my dogs are just my "other" children! I use olive oil, coconut oil, fish oil, and chicken broth to add to their dry food a few times a week. My black Labs have shiny raven coats and my German Shepherd has soft hair...even her coarse top coat feels rather silky! Monika, Passion Princess is a B and she has coconut oil on her swami as either a neutral or super, can't remember. I just know she used it for something and was very happy with it. |

I had SWAMI done at Dr D'Adamo's office few years ago and EVCO is neutral. I have to admit that I have never tried it |
