I keep trying to find ways to reduce my eggs consumption to close to what is recommended by SWAMI, but every time I do, the body starts screaming for more... With the healing I am doing, it seems like the body needs tremendous amounts of protein foods, so I keep providing what it wants. Eggs and ghee are great with all kinds of vegetables.
My mom once told me that eggs were one of the best foods we could eat due to the specific protein combination along with the fat/lecithin mix. There were so many good things for the body to grab what it needs from what is provided in the egg.

Eggs are perfect food for me When I eat some kind of egg in the morning I eat better the rest of the day- they keep me full for 5-6 hrs ( If I eat fruit and yoghurt I m ight be ok for 3 and I never crave sugar when I eat eggs. I eat somewhere between 7 and 12-14 eggs a week- sure more than my swami says =9 but I simply dont care my cholesterol number has never been better and since I find it hard /impossible to eat all the fish I should- I eat more eggs.
My eggs are the freshest my ladies live in the back yard and is fed a healthy diet.
My daughter actually got me tuned into eggs - she ONLY wants eggs + veggies on school days since she have a hard time getting proper lunch- eggs makes her feel good and full for several hrs

Egg yolks
Egg yolks are number one in my book. The way they blend effortlessly with other foods and even enrich them, and (if you get a really pastured one) provide unparalleled taste and mouthfeel when eaten straight out of the shell can’t be praised enough. The vitamin A, choline, folate, selenium, iodine, and omega-3 (again, if you get pastured) are rather nice, too. Eat egg yolks every day, just don’t smoke ‘em. Yes, that was a double reference to both the egg yolk/cigarette study and Dr. Dre.

When I started eating them on a regular basis, I noticed my hair and skin started looking better. Must be the biotin. And of course I feel great after eating them. Must be the quality protein in them.

I don't find eggs to be ALL that energizing. Yes, they're a good source of protein and healthy fats, but I don't find eggs to be particularly nourishing as compared to other animal proteins. I eat a lot of them because they're economical, but I'd feel just fine if I didn't eat them at all, so long as I got enough protein from red meat, fish, and poultry.

I want eggs back. The sulfer was killing me. IgG reacting. Will get there.

Love the eggs...superfood on my swami. Three of them with tons of veggies....awesome power...yes. Egg sandwich on grilled portabello mushrooms with lettuce and sauteed onions...yummilicious.

Wondering precisely what it is. It can be almost magical, like an Energy Potion. Is it the proportion of yolk fats to protein? Is it the, dare I say it, Cholesterol? Any ideas?

I love, love, love my eggs! I generally cook them in olive oil. Sometimes I throw in manchego cheese and veggies, sometimes I boil them or fry them. Doesn't matter. They quell my hunger for hours on end and I don't crave bad foods when I start my day with eggs. I get mine from the farm where I get my grass fed beef.
Egg yolks are one of the more dense sources of biotin from common foods.

Thanks for this! In The GTD, Dr. D'Adamo recommends Biotin for Nomads to "enhance the...internal ecosystem, [slow] down premature aging and [enhance] immune function". I do, however believe it's more than that, delivering the instantaneous energy when it's needed. Wonder what?

I'm saying there's gotta be something in eggs that can deliver instant energy (without being subjected to digestive metabolism). I'm wondering what that substance / combination / process is.

I love eggs, especially very large organic eggs with dark yolks. Ruthie, are you buying organic eggs? I buy the Country Hen eggs when I can get them. They taste so much better! I generally scramble them in ghee, then sprinkle with nutritional yeast - yum! Jane

I do think this is a key. I have read that eggs represent the most or almost the most "complete" protein source available. Something about the intrinsic synergy, the magic balance of amino acids...

Eggs give me great energy/focus too! I like to make omelette, in ghee/olive oil, some baby spinach, parmeson cheese, a little chopped celery, fresh/dried oregano or basil, other herbs. Or, just boiled eggs; soft boiled! Some veg and herbs may help to digest eggs, for those who find them difficult!
I feel the yolk is particularly immediate in its effects, if it's pierced and runs -- from a fried or poached or boiled egg. It's like what happens to Popeye when he eats his spinach!

I am just popping in here to show my respect for the egg - love the versatility of this humble, accessible & unique food. And there is dense energy I agree, just had one fried & sunny over some leftover rice with broccoli, and that's dinner!

Someone should look into the suitability of eggs replacing meat as the primary source of animal protein if our future food shortage is becoming a reality. The alternative, according to some, is "In- Vitro" meat products. A thoroughly disgusting concept being explored as a serious solution. Some alteration of allergen compounds might be necessary, but as long as organic trumps GMO, it would still be preferable to "Lab Meat".
If I were to be able to replace the fish in my diet, I would beg for more eggs from SWAMI. The yolk is a diamond food for me. I'm allowed 9 each week. I really could eat 18. If I were out of multivitamins one day, I would instantly eat 6 yolks for breakfast. I would make sure I had all 3 in one week: quail, chicken and duck. *burp*

I agree. They're neutral on my SWAMI, which is how I feel about them. If it weren't for the two tablespoons of ghee I have with them, they wouldn't satisfy me at all. Unless, perhaps, I were to eat 8 of them.
I use two eggs as a sort of pizza crust, scrambled then fried on both sides in a pan. Then top with fried-in-ghee peppers or zucchini and melted whole milk mozz cheese to glue it all together on top.
OTOH, lamb is wonderful. And coffee, of course.
My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

What a great idea! Totally grain-free pizza crust! Any other cool ideas for how to use eggs, this is the place for 'em,

I eat eggs about once every 4-6 weeks...when suddenly out of nowhere I crave them....eat them and for the next 4-6 weeks have no desire to eat them again...In fact, if I eat them when I'm not craving them they make me feel itchy.... This is how it's been my entire life...There has got to be some nutrients in eggs my body decides it wants and has to have...and then it's satisfied from whatever two eggs might provide. On an allergy test, eggs tested as my highest allergen...which most of the time, seems to be true!

Are we all talking about organic eggs from pasture-raised chickens? Never mind 100% all natural or hormone/antibiotic free, if they're fed corn, we're going to get corn (I imagine this would be the case with eggs, though I've never seen it mentioned here beyond eating the chicken itself).

Anyone know?
And if they scavenge flies, you're going to get flies. Read the article and follow the link. Chickens love to eat bugs and are the best pest control versus flies on an organic farm, says Mother Earth News.
I'm fortunate to have a source for organic, pasture raised, junk-free eggs. I can attest to their exquisite flavor and texture (and nutrient content, presumably). They aren't eating pesticide laden anything, but I don't know if their food source includes corn meal. Winter months particularly.
I'll ask my HFS about this, but does anyone know if the corn lectins would show up in the eggs? It would seem there is a degree of separation between eating the chicken -Vs- the egg, but I wouldn't assume this. Nor would I stop eating eggs if there is. Gotta draw the line somewhere.
Also hoping there is a degree of separation between the eggs and the flies
PS Just did some searches and it seems organic chicken feed consists wheat, barley, oats, and soy.
The more I think about it, though, if the lectins were present in the eggs, the eggs would not be recommended in the first place, right?
Regarding egg quality....I have found an "heirloom" egg....organic, free range and out of all eggs, this seems to taste better to me than most. And it doesn't give me that "I'm going to puke" feeling when I smell them cooking like other eggs often do. That's always been one of my issues....the smell (that I can perceive) but nobody else can when eggs cook in a pan with oil...(even the very best of oil) I can even "smell" that off odor when eggs are hard boiled and then peeled. There must be something about the feed that really bothers me.
This is what I buy although it does say they've been fed cereal grains....even though pasture fed.
And then I wonder...given I'm gluten intolerant, are any of these "grains" gluten grains? Is this what causes random but insane itching when I try to eat eggs?

My guess is that there is a protein here that you aren't getting anywhere else, so when your body gets low, it wants the eggs. Once the need is fulfilled, the body rejects the eggs until it needs that specific part again.
It may be the part you are allergic to is the part you aren't absorbing from anywhere else and only get it from the eggs...

Is there any food more instantly invigorating than eggs? (Just ate breakfast - 2 over easy and it was ... powerful.) For non-Bs too?

Well, wouldn't you know it...Just had dinner here: 1. Salad vinaigrette with feta 2. Hardboiled eggs (warm) and raw carrots with horseradish mayo
...and as soon as I tasted the egg yolk it was like boingngngng... the sun coming out. Pretty dang amazing, time and time and time again.

I'm not as conversant with Nomad as with B values; I just looked up eggs in the Genotype book, and I see where whole chicken eggs are a "diamond" food for both Nomads and Hunters. They're only a neutral for me "as a B"... So, one might say that explains it, right?
(Beef is a diamond for Hunters, too, and a neutral for Nomads (and Bs)...but my INDIVIDUAMI says it's a "diamond". )
We do have to learn to follow our INDIVIDUAMIs.

SWAMI instructs me to eat 7 eggs per week, so I eat one per day each morning. I have tried eggs many ways, but to reduce fat, I am currently boiling them. I have noticed that some eggs after boiling want to cling onto their shells and do not shell cleanly. After trying many brands and locally raised eggs, I now purchase Phil's Eggs. The shell practically falls off. It also tastes the best of all eggs I've tried. Here is their website:
