If the only thing you have is wine, I'd mix a glass with the recommended honey and drink it - probably faster than I'd typically do for enjoyment... I'd do it again as soon as I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep, but wanted to...
I think it will help you sleep so that the body can continue with the immune enhancements... Lack of sleep will definitely slow down healing, etc...
Thanks, Joe. I'll do that. I'm afraid that if I don't get rid of this soon, it'll settle down into my lungs like that horrific flu we had 3 years ago when I was convinced we had whooping cough. We've decided that it's better to dish out the money to take cod liver oil, elderberry and D3 all fall and winter for prevention...rather than risk this.

Thanks for the advice, Joe. My cough is temporarily gone. I hope to sleep well tonight after a good bit of wine. I'm astonished at the way it has abolished the cough.

We've all had the flu for a week. I'm so congested I can hardly sleep and I'm doing everything herbal I know to do. My chiropractor suggested a shot of whiskey with honey. I don't want to do that, but I thought maybe rum would be a better option. Any amount of wine would have so much sugar in it it would make it counter-productive, right?
Wine is great for warriors, esp red wine. Would boost immunity and help clear mucus i would think.
