Any guidance for someone with a fish and seafood allergy? I have had a violent reaction since childhood--hives, wheezing--to even being present when fish is cooking. How does this square with the AB diet?

Avoid things you are allergic to - at least until you've had time to heal the digestive tract... You say this is an allergy since childhood, so I'm not sure it is something that will ever be fixed in you.
Before ER4YT, I used NAET to eliminate some allergies, so it may be something to look into to see if it would help you eliminate allergies to beneficial fish...

If you can't eat any fish or seafood, then you don't eat it. Make sure you get enough protein from your other compliant protein sources, which will mean increasing your weekly portions of poultry, eggs, dairy, red meat (do ABs get any red meat?) and/or vegetable proteins.
Also make sure you have enough omega 3 fats in your diet as well. Fish oils are a rich source of omega 3s, but several vegetable oils provide this nutrient as well.

eastwest - I get extremely nauseated when I even smell fish cooking. Don't know that I'm allergic to it, but I hate the taste of fish. One or two bites and I want to throw it up.
