Good day everyone! I'm looking to find a great brand of green tea, one that tastes good and is effective in getting me the nutrients I need. What's your favorite brand of green tea? |

I should add this to the thread "foods you don't like". I really hate green tea...and, yes, I've tried dozens of brands and all suggested ways of preparing it. I love black iced tea, but it's a black dot for me, so I MAKE myself drink green iced tea instead.
I'll drink it, but I don't really like it. |

I don't have a favorite. I buy 100 packets of Uncle Li's at the store for $5. I've even gotten to the point where if it oversteeps, I still drink it because I know it's good for me. I guess I've gone hard-core. To me, delicious green tea is the perfume form you can spray all over yourself that was so popular the last decade |

Taylor's of Harrogate, scented with jasmine. Hot or iced with a tiny dab of agave.

Green tea with Toasted rice is delicious! No particular brand really. The rice gives it a wholesome nutty flavor, I highly recommend this. |

My favorite brand used to be for many years organic Japanese Sencha (by Mitoku or Muso). I tried several other Japanese brands which I shortly discontinued. To me Sencha tastes the best, straight, strong, and clear. After Fukushima I got cold feet and moved to Chinese Shanghai Temple du Ciel special Gunpowder, which is sold in all health food stores over here. It is not so good as Sencha, but when I follow strictly the recommended brewing instuctions, I enjoy it very much - very relievingand energizing |

Ditto to Elisabett. Green tea with toasted rice. My current brand is Allegro, on sale at WF.
The Bigelows taste weird to me. Have tried several with mango, peach, etc. They have a "cloudy" taste. |

I buy all my teas from a local tea shop in loose tea form, that way I can get all different flavors, kinds, forms. I would recommend seeking out your local tea shop and buying from them. It will be much better quality! Your local tea shop will have different kinds of green tea from all over the world. I really like the matcha green tea in powdered form that you whisk in a bowl, instead of steep in a tea infuser pot. Not only does it taste great, it is so healthy. I also like Oolong or Wu Long tea (a type of green tea) I am really bummed, Black tea is an avoid for me, and I love black teas! |

Yes, black tea also an avoid for me, and I LOVE it. Oh, to have a local tea shop. I'd have to drive nearly 2 hours to get to a store like that! Lucky you, Eat to Live! I'll try not to be too jealous, he he! |

I have two favorite green teas and I have a big mug of each every morning. And they taste very different from each other. Mr. Itaru's green tea, which is a very delicious version of a genmaicha tea (green tea with toasted brown rice). Yummy! Others have provided that link, so I won't repost it. and Emerald Cloud by Two Hills tea company. http://www.twohillstea.com/store/green-tea/tea/organic_emerald_cloud_green_tea_100g/I love 'em both. And remember - don't use water that is too hot. Just under boiling is better. |
