Hi There, First week down and Ive stuck to only beneficial and Neutrals. Very proud of myself there. Been trying to get over a yeast infec and bladder infection - seems like its getting worse? Any chance it could be from detoxing? |

They don't really "get worse" per say, in a way you can conceive. Your immune system going up means it is taking care of the problem. When your immune system is way down it does nothing and the infection grows. You are seeing positive benefits but they are really uncomfortable and you'd like to get over them quicker; so I imagine. Are you drinking pure cranberry juice? (not the cocktails etc) There are not too many things out there better for that area of the body. Your body will be able to take care of it much easier as your gut flora balances, since the colon and bladder area are very intimate. For that reason red meat, bananas, and Polyflora O are going to be your friend. Dr. D actually recommends Polyflora formulas for everyone with bacterial problems. |

I would encourage you to use the Blood Type specific probiotic. The wrong probiotic could encourage a lengthier recovery time. We all have different entric bacteria that is fed by different things. That is largely what this diet is based on! In my intestines the A antigen feeds a different set of bacterias than in your intestines where the H antigen (Type O, lack of a sugar attached to the H, my sugar is an A) feeds another set of bacteria. It happens when we excrete digestive juices and such into our intestines. Also don't be afraid to add some cilantro to your diet! |

cranberry juice is not so great I think for blood type O's but if you use it insure it is pure no added sugar or sweetener of any kind.
Bromelaine, Polyflora O, Deflect O, and Hytrax work for me. I take them alternately
Also some of the neutrals can work against you so concentrate on the beneficials. |

Is your cranberry juice 100% juice or does it have sugar and apple juice mixed in? |

it is 100% pure - no sugar. nothing else added in. Seems like Im having good days and bad days. Some where I feel like everything is back to normal and the next ill be back to square one. I try to look at my diet leading up to a bad day and I dont notice any major changes as to what I ate. Possibly just still part of detoxing? |

This is the way the initial healing went for me... I think the body would get so energized by the beneficial foods that it would pull too much stored toxin out to discard and bring the symptoms way up again... It took a while for mine to settle down to a constant healing pattern... Hopefully, you'll find a "good zone" soon to stop most of the "cycling"... |

I think that is what Im thinking too - that ok Im not eating garbage anymore and eating what I should be, plenty of water, etc why isnt my body cooperating - thats my old instant gratification mindset obviously . Im in it for the long haul. Feels good to do what I need to do everyday and eating healthier. Ive put my body thru way too many years of abuse to expect an overnight recovery |

The "easy test" seems relevant only for weight loss. |

look again! it addresses bacterial overgrowth in some, or hormonal issues in others plus a lot more......it does place the person on the right track though |

I looked again. "Step 3: Choose the type of weight gain that best describes your body type: 'apple' versus 'pear' ... Click for Personalized Weight Loss Plan Now!" How can that possibly seem relevant to a thin person? I rest my case. |

Take d-mannose powder. It has MUCH more d-mannose than real cranberry juice, without the sugar, and easy to transport and ingest. There is no downside/side-effects to taking this (other than the cost), and it is a natural sugar, with insignificant calories (being absorbed).
Take (at least) 5 grams of powder mixed in water (at least) every two-three hours. Keep taking it for a while after the symptoms have ceased.
The best price is NOW brand d-mannose powder (3 oz. bottle) online. I got it recently from Amazon in multipack for about $16/btl incl. shipping. |
