Is there anyone who cannot tolerate grains? I know I can't have gluten so that eliminates quite a few grains. But I still have problems with other grains ... rice, quinoa, buckwheat, etc ... and I don't know the reason. When it isn't an immediate reaction (gluten) then it is a delayed reaction. I thought I had found something yesterday, but no. I tried it again this morning. Still problems breathing, rapid pulse, chest hurting, and sinus congestion/phlegm, stomach bloating. Any thoughts? |

Sounds like an allergic reaction.
Same thing with sprouted grains? (just asking if you have tried them, not that you should.) |

Are you keeping a record of what you eat each day? how much water you drink, what supps you have, what environmental exposure you have, what sort of stress are you under, how much exercise you do, how much you move ...
it all adds up ... then, it is easier to pick up patterns that way ... I am keeping a spreadsheet with detailed info and post in these forums what I think is relevant to share ...

Yes, I keep a record. Every grain that I try causes problems, but the scariest is the way they really raise my heart beat, not a good thing with my heart problem, esp since I'm trying to control rapid heart naturally, without beta blockers. |

D.L. - wow - how awful. I eat very little grain but I haven't really defined what goes on with it. I'll have to pay attention.
Please share what you figure out and your progress. |

No, I haven't tried sprouted grains except in Ezekiel bread. Not good. Why would I want sprouted grains if I can't have bread or cereal? I'm highly allergic to breathing grasses, ragweed, and goldenrod. Wonder if there is a connection. |

I would be super strict for a few days and then test one grain at a time, days apart to see how it goes. I am doing that right now. I have had problems since my very early teens so I am intolerant to a lot of foods so even BTD is too much for me. SWAMI is way off for me. I almost have it though. I am going super strict to help isolate the offending foods. I will try them again in six months or so but right now I think I am so damaged that it's the way it has to be for me. One thing about Ezekiel bread is there is a lot of ingredients in there. I am pretty good with rice but can't do wild rice? (should have known that as I love it so much!) good luck |

Wild rice is a grass, since you have weed allergies it may sadly be off your list. You might know this but many don't so I'm just saying. |

Ezekiel bread is not like the original recipe. They are now adding gluten, so read the label carefully - anyone who is buying that product. |

I'm actually thinking about it just being your metabolism is so low that this is happening. Combined with the fact that your digestion is right. NAP's section for supplements recently had a blurb about hyper-assimilators, which you could be. It would mean that you absorb all the carbohydrates rather quickly in poor health, yet struggle with other things.
The same thing can happen to me at times. Magnesium helps some, for sure. I'm allergic to grass as well.
What are your finger prints? (I have all ulnar loops)
Do you consume any detox foods? Cranberry juice, goji berries, plums, etc? Cilantro?
In your SWAMIX what world view do you get? Receptive right? |
