This morning I told my husband about the Secretor software, he nearly fell of his throne when he heard the price for this thing.
HE wants to know, in layman's terms, what it is and why it is necessary to spend almost $70 bucks on it. With other words, why should I have and what great benefit would I derive from it and should I wait until I used all my avoid foods. I am doing what the LR4YT is suggesting, easing into the new lifestyle. |

On Page 358 in the LR4YT in the 2001 edition the Secretor kit was only $32.95 Why is it now $69.95? Certainly things could not have changed in the raw materials to raise it more then a 100% from 2001? |

I would get the swami software instead, it can be run without secretor status, in fact it can be run both ways and you can look at the two food lists it generates and then try them both, or eliminate all of the avoids for both. I'm surprised the secretor test has gone up that much in $$$ |

The costs include pre-paid shipping of the test kit to the lab by Fed-ex. Those costs may have gone up. The price that DPN negotiated with the lab itself for getting the tests run may have changed. Those are two of the more obvious things. Other relationships such as those with distributors may also have an effect. And so on. I pay about double for a bunch of turnip greens that I did in 2001. On the other hand I get more than twice as much computer for my dollar as in 2001. |

LEF ships HUGE packages full of supplements through USPS for $5.00 And the price for Shipping the UPS for something this small is only $5.95 The same price it stated in the 2001 book.
I am getting the SWAMI. I got so many good reviews from you guys on that that I am going to get that first.
IF my Medicaid kicks back in, I will print out an article from Google Scholar I found on Secretor Status and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and give it to the Doctor and ask the Doctor to include the Test for the Secretor Status since it can have an impact on the diagnostics. That way I don't have to pay for it, and I will still find out what my secretor status is. |

It's a test, not software. The saliva test is $50 or so and you can't use standard shipping. It's overnight or next day type shipping. The Blood test is $70 or so and has to be fedex'd overnight. All about Secretor status: http://www.dadamo.com/knowbase.....olivebetter.com%252F |

I am glad that I know my Blood Type. So many of my friends don't even know theirs. If I am reinstated for Medicaid, I will request it as part of my Oncology Lab Work Saves me almost $70 bucks |

The test used to determine Secretor status from a medical lab that does blood tests, is called a "Lewis" blood test. Many testing programs will not recognize Lewis or secretor--but recognizing Lewis as the name of the test is much more common. |

On the BTD website, secretor status by saliva test is $70. On amazon.com, linking to same site, it is $50. Possible differences in shipping charges? |

SO if I get reinstated I can ask for a Lewis Blood test to see if it has anything to do with my CLL
Wow, $20 difference? Nice to know, if they refuse to do my secretor status test. |
