Wow! Am so glad I read the D'Adamo blog about "food combining" after I stepped on the scale this morning!
I'm officially "under 190 pounds again" after 3 days of intense Explor-rier tweaking towards Warrior......
But last time I lost weight I gained half of the pounds back again, even though I was in my "first SWAMI mode" ......and now I see what happened for the better...
Its so good to go back and periodically review your BLOOD TYPE no matter how much you know about your Genotype makeup. Why? Because I had totally skipped over ONE LITTLE LINE Dr. D had also written about A digestion.....I don't even recall reading it in my more turbulent times going through Kindle: "A's do not do well combining starch and protein in the same meal"
BAM!
This is what I finally sorted out the last 2 days by accident at my job! I didn't have time enough to eat every fruit, protein, starch, veggie and fat at every meal.....and when the pounds started slipping off....I saw a new pattern.....
My new pattern seems to have broken down to: All the daily fruits only at breakfast The fish, veggies, and a veggie fat at lunch The grain or starch and veggies and a nut butter at dinner.
At first I was scared when I did this a couple days, because I didn't know whether fat at dinner would screw up my liver and keep me fat.
BUT IT DIDN'T!!!
And now I see the days I did food combine the proper way....were my most PEACEFUL DAYS, mentally.....wow!!!!
Give the liver some breathing room to know what's coming down the gullet....one meal at a time......
DOES IMPROPER FOOD COMBINING LEAD TO MORE CORTISOL? Ah! ...........could be a contributing trigger towards cortisol overload
Jumping for joy now that my body is more soothed!!

I go through phases, I'll live off peanut butter for a week and then not want anymore for a long time. I include flax seed in just about everything I can, freshly ground. I will often buy a bag of raw sunflower seeds and slow roast them in coconut oil for a genoharmonic snack.
Honestly, I am one of those A s that did very well on BTD and swami is just wonderful, so I simply follow those guidelines and I am healthy and happy

... in other ways, if we keep compliant, sticking to portions in each group category as recommended in our lists and aid the digestive process by using our mouths to not just throw food in, but to initiate their processing by really masticating it, then our organs, liver included, should be in much better position to do their job, food combining or not. (this is note to self ...)

I've become convinced that for this A, food combining has been the ultimate determining factor on how to keep cravings down, and food portions the correct size, without feeling deprived of food at the end of the day!
Perhaps its the undigested, putrefying, badly-combined food combos that urge the body to eat more food, to flush it out of the gut....I am quite sure that this factor is now taming the amount of "ghrelin" enzyme that has been haywire in my body for over 14 years!!! I can now concentrate on the other portions of life, and "eat to live" instead of "living to eat"!!!!!
I can also detect now, whether I have eaten a few many too ounces of ((x) and say "oh - tomorrow for sure, I will not need that big of a serving" without getting paranoid.
