Can anyone help me with a good diet plan for a 25 year old man with Thyroid Cancer. He wants to try to heal with natural methods . The doctor has already said he wanted to cut his thyroid out. I have read what I could find in the old post. My original plan was to have him do a juice fast for about a week or so and then try to get him on a good diet, but not sure what foods to let him have. Will Crucifer veggies ( kale, broc, spinach) mess up his thyroid? Do I just go by the O food list? Can he have meat? I wanted him to take some probiotic fermented food, but I see that Sauerkraut is an avoid for him and so are pickles. Can he have water kefir? I was going to put him on Essiac tea, but it have several avoids.
Any and all help is greatly welcomed! Thanks |

Perhaps he can go too see Dr. D'Adamo or Dr. Nash? Cooked millet and raw cruciferous are hard on the thyroid. |

the foods you mentioned are not for O's / ..
Is he willing to go on Swami or at least on BTD specifically for cancer? as it is giving him the best chance to get a good food list..
also do you have Dr D's book on cancer?
Can he afford supplements from Dr D. -blood type- specific?.
All depends on how much time he has before the cancer could go elsewhere? what stage?
I would rather do some colonics/colon cleanses.ask me for details.. and clean out the colon for a beginning option, and eat the supps and cancer prevention foods specific to his type/Is he a nonnie? do you know?
Can he go to see the Doctors at the Shift. Is he in your direct family or further away physically? Will you have much control over shopping and food cooking? and can you offer much help? long term..
This is a life time commitment, will he do it?
I see differences between cancer PREVENTION as opposed to ALREADY diagnosed with it.. Doing colon cleanses will make a greater impact, but it takes devotion and strength of mind.. is he willing to learn on his own what options he has..
the good thing is that thyroid can be supplemented later..
what did he eat until now?
does it run in his family?
what about Geno testing .. |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

I just learned something new, thought I'd share, You have to taste bitters in order for them to help your thyroid. It seems it's their strong taste that boosts the body's production of digestive fluids, and that capsules won't do the trick. Fine with me I love bitters greens and I've been enjoying dandelion tea. I don't sweeten, guess sweetening would counteract as well.
I just posted this on another thread. As an O with family history, of hypothyroid issue, my swami puts several bitters in my live foods. Swami does cover thyroid, but I also think getting the swami pro done by a practitioner would be very helpful. |

I think he needs to see a naturopath ASAP, and not play around with natural remedies all on his own. Dr D's cancer book is a good place to start, and SWAMI Xpress is even better, but IMO he needs to actually be seen by a medical professional and prescribed herbs and supplements specifically targeted to his particular situation. |

There are 4 kinds of thyroid cancer and some are considerably worse than others. Some are slow growing and others aren't. I don't think this is something that can be fixed with supplements. If he has one of the more serious types, it can kill him. Not anything to fool around with in my opinion.
