Just had a hamburger for lunch, and it feels great. What is it? I tend to be really energized by beefburgers. When I have beef for lunch, I feel g-o-o-d. It's "only a Neutral" for B/Nomad, but it's always had this effect on me. |

High protein lunches tend to suit many people well because those mid-afternoon drowsies that hit some people (including myself) often result from a lack of protein or too many carbs.
Is it possible you have an O recessive gene in your family? I've heard others talk on this list about recessive alleles having an effect on what foods you may tolerate. Anyone else know what I"m talking about? Beef is a superfood for O's and if you have an O parent maybe that explains the "high" feeling after eating beef.
I asked my B blood type sons and they said beef makes them feel good, but I don't know that it's been extraordinarily noticeable for them. If you are young and active like my sons, just eating good quality protein from a compliant source may make you feel good. |

I like eggs, too. Eggs are also neutral high protein, very energizing, in a solid, durable way. All Bs are either Bb or Bo, and I am the latter. My father was Ao. I think I do well with protein at lunch, but for some reason, the hamburger is a real pick-me-up. Maybe I just love 'em! |

I feel the same about beef and beef is superfood in my swami I am Bo btw . If I feel moody or burned out I crave beef and eggs as well as chocolate My best calm me down meal is Roast beef/steak with homemade sauce bearnaise( eggyolks, butter and white wine-herbs) servede with broccoli and maybe some starch potato or sweet potato |

I always feel way better on beef than any other meat, whereas lamb can be a bit fatty... although a really lean piece is ok for me... Genotype wise, oddly enough, I think beef is only a superfood for Hunters?! |

I feel energetic. I`m not that sure but I get very moody after an hour. So I prefer fish instead. |

Kind of interesting Marc121 - I wonder what kind of meat you get ?? Is it conventional grain fed beef or grassfed beef.

This is not the first I'm hearing of this. Some people with anger-management problems have mentioned beef-ingestion as frequently preceding ornery, irritable moods. Though perhaps Marc121 is referring to something else. |

I must say .. if I follow the foods suggested I feel good, if I eat differently I pay a big price in energy/sluggishness and sleeping my life away.. Protein and veggies yes in every meal.. all else is snack foods to be tasted not swallowed..

I need beef to feel good. I’ve gone a few days without it and can tell the difference. |

Beef is easy to find and cheap but I prefer American bison and lamb for my red meat fix. Although almost all bison is technically cow now since bison was bred with cows in the early days. |

Kristin! We smoked you out of them thar Rockies! You haven't checked in with the clan by the ol' campfire (B & Indiv. II) which you'd played such a hand in stokin', back in the day! Hitch up and tell us some tales under the stars.
I love lamb and have had some awesome buffalo. It's infinitely easier, however, to find a hamburger when out for lunch with a friend, especially if you're somewhere that has really good ones. And it just sharpens the mind and energizes mid-day, I've found. |

Yep, been pretty smoky here in the southern Rockies this summer but things are settling down now. I was Evacuation Central for awhile with friends and family storing their belongings at my place while the fires raged. Quite devastating and frightening but calm is once again returning. I just got back from a Kundalini yoga class that stokes the inner fires - the only fire I care to experience now! Staying away from live flames of all kinds so no barbequing for me of any sort. Red meat will have to wait - fish is looking pretty sweet. |

Where as a good cut of organic beef is good I'm not so sure about perhaps a non organic beefburger (unless you ground it from a bit of organic steak yourself), i would also be very wary of buying one in a fast food hall or even at a barbecue to be honest what with transfats et al. although my vegetarian (for a week) mouth is watering at the though of a bit of rare chateaubriand. |

I haven't eaten meat in 6 weeks; don't miss it. It is too high in some amino acid & also phosphate. I feel better & plan to only eat in small amounts. |

Yeah, I doubt burned sage is as tasty as safe that is merely dried. |

It depends as I do have an O recessive gene. I do love a good beef fillet cooked medium rare but I could say the same about rack of lamb, seared tuna steak, or well cooked turkey. I'm putting turkey legs on the grill as soon as the coals finish lighting. |

Please refer me to where Dr. D'Adamo distinguishes between foods that are particularly strengthening for Bo versus those that are so for Bb. Thanks! |

I have never seen it - but always wondered about it. The A´s have A1 and A2 - why are we Bs so boring I know as a rh- I need more protein and less grain than the rh+ |

I have the same issue-- I will feel good eating the meat but then I get really moody... this happens with chicken alot for me. Beef- I think I need to slowly get it back into my system again, I was not eating it for some time. I love fish!!!! |

If I don't eat enough red meat, my energy levels and moods suffer. According to SWAMI, I should be having beef 5X a week. I'm not always able to have that much every week, in part due to expense and in part because other family members need less meat/more poultry than I do and it's hard to co-ordinate everybody's needs at once.
If I don't have beef at least 3 times a week, I suffer. If I over-eat red meat one week, I can manage with less the week after, but it needs to average 3-5 servings of red meat per week.
I rarely buy lamb because it's expensive and hard to find locally (though non-kosher lamb is easy to find.) So most of my red meat intake is in the form of beef. It's a beneficial food for me. Lamb is a diamond and I feel even better when I eat it, but it's impossible for me to have it more than a few times a year. |
