Oh, well. Today was one of those days when I just didn't feel like eating. I had coffee with cream at around 10 this morning. It's now 3:30pm, and I have a feeling I'll be up for some chow fairly soon?
Good practice run for the next day, when I had to fast for a blood draw and didn't make it to the needle 'til almost 2pm! So - no breakfast yesterday, either.

1 x coconut water, 2 x polyflora - been curious about the coconut water thing, taste is good, slightly coconutty, feels 'heavier' than water - seemed to suppress appetite It is mainly sugar carbs & potassium. Would love to know if it has any of the less appealing characteristics of other coconut products re BTD. Then slice of spelt bread with butter & mac butter, half a coffee, spirulina/ more water.
instead of carbs go for quarkecheese with blueberries and some allowed seeds in ....
Hi, chèrele: Thanks! This morning was another of those when I just couldn't go for it. I do know better. I was surprisingly hungry for so early in the morning, much earlier than usual. But the thought of cheese, even, was a big turn-off. Sometimes I just eat the one thing that doesn't disgust me. In this case it was simple toast and jam with some butter.
At 12:30pm, however, I went for yogurt.

No breakfast, again. Just coffee with cream. Lunch at 2:15pm: Salad that included turkey and goat cheese, carrots, parsley and red onions over romaine. Vinaigrette.
Where's Henriette? I guess she's a big girl now - turned 40 last month...

1:00p: Celery stalks, dipped in a jalapeño ranch dressing. 1:30p: Salad with the same dressing: Chopped romaine and kale, arugula leaf, julienned carrots and red onion.
Again: Not in the mood for meat, cheese, nuts, beans ---- maybe egg would have been okay. Not in the mood for starch, either.
I feel pretty good after the salad. Definitely full: It was big.

Leftovers!! Rice & quinoa pasta with roasted garlic broccoli, sweet potato, rocket with fresh chilli & parmesan mascarpone. Grapefruit & water, polyflora, spirulina. Handful of dried cranberries.
I love when you make something great for dinner and you get to eat it for breakfast the next day!
We had mashed potatoes yesterday -This morning I had fried potato cakes, plum chutney , mayo and strawberry smoothie- it is blistering cold so the potatoes were good.
Glad they are neutral for me.

I really agree with you re: potatoes. I don't eat them often. The flavor of a baked potato is just wonderful - a rare treat. Occasionally I buy a bag of chips/crisps or, if eating a hamburger out, indulge in - yes - french fries, but I like potatoes best when their inherent flavor comes through.
And this morning's breakfast, at 11:00, consisted of a salad accompanied by crispy flatbreads. It was a slaw of kale, carrots, red onions, parsley, and romaine in a creamy jalapeño ranch dressing.

That sounds good- I really ought to eat more veggies at bf. Just had strawberry /yoghurt smoothie
Really I ought to have eaten something hot - since the wind and rain says it is autumn.

Scrambled eggs with onions, cheddar and parsley. Didn't provide the usual protein mega-strength, oddly. A couple of hours later I was crashing. Had to have cream tea at three today, to drive the afternoon engine.
