Unlisted foods are considered neutral unless/until there is reason to think otherwise. There is no way to even try to make an educated guess on this one. Neutral it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adansonia |

Somewhat similar as both fruit trees are uedicots, but then they fall into different orders. I was just kind of curious as I recently tasted the dried pulp of the baobab fruit, and I liked the flavor. I'll just make do with the fruits about which I'm sure. It's not as though I'm fruit deprived. (: |

You're right! ... why some call it "gallinas de palo." Ha! So many people (north of Ciudad de Tijuana) refuse to believe me that it really is tasty. I especially like it when prepared with chipotles en adobo. Mmm, mmm, good! ((: |

Yes, I've eaten (and enjoyed). (: Unfortunately, at least as far as this dish is concerned, all oranges, black pepper, most roes and corn/maize are avoids for me (not even 'black dot' avoids). I can't even tell you how hard it was to give up hot, fresh corn tortillas ... especially as this was our standard 'bread' fare during meals growing up. ): I did it, though, and have been tortilla-free for 13 months. Couple of times I was really tempted and thought I'd have to go into rehab. (I mean, I figured there'd at least be some sort of 12-step program, but no! Can you believe it?!?) |
