Put this on another thread but felt it wasn't suitable so here is my little bit.............
Loved this title so decided to pop in here to say..................I'm Back!
It has been over a year since I have been to this site and over a year since I decided to pack in my LRFYT attempt.
During that time I have put on an extra 14kg (now weighing 114kg), have become a true insomniac (my 5 y.o that didn't sleep for 4 1/2 years is now sleeping whilst I seem to lay awake most of the night) and feel about as run down as I think is possible.
Miranda Kerr who belives in eating by the Blood Type was the person that has motivated me to pop back in for another go. She was accepting an award revolving around the health of Australian women and she had a genuine tear and said two words "I'm trying"
Well I'm back to try also! This time I hope I won't give up!

Nicole.. welcome back..
so you gained enough to have the excuse to throw out all your clothes.. a great way to support the economy..
but now you are back.. I think you learned what is real and what is not.. you can do it, you can get convinced that eating our way is easy .. I mean we in the US are importing Aussie meat, seems you ought to have enough for little old you? !.. eat some and a little green to go with it and a slice of onion and you are all done.. you will save so much money that a new wardrobe will not even pinch the wallet..
come on Get on the stick.. its easy. takes less than 5 minutes to cook.. I mean sliced steak in one small fry pan, some green veggies in another steamed and cooked just as long as the meat and you are all done! Hardly any dishes...
All the best..
When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfectionBeing 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships
Welcome back, and you can do this correctly, so easily. Buy the foods you need to have in your home.
I like to cook ahead in large batches, as far as the meat is concerned. I know 3 pounds of ground sirloin 93/7, will give me twelve large patties. I divide meat into two bowls, and put certain spices and herbs in one bowl and different ones in the other bowl. In one bowl, I add veggies of choice that has been run thru a food processor (onions, celery, hot peppers, baby spinach)drain liquid before adding. I make 6 on each cookie sheet. Cook 15 minutes, at 350 degrees, take both sheets out, flip over and place the other six on the first sheet after draining, and cook another 15 minutes. For me one per meal, for a man two per meal. I put in containers with lids one in frig one in freezer (in in zip lock freezer bags). If I am cooking steak/turkey breaks/salmon fillet, I season top, put seasoned side down, cook halfway, turn season and add veggies around all four sides of meat, add 1/4c water and place lid on top, when meat is done veggies are done. I will have hard boiled eggs with HB marked on egg shells, in frig, so they are ready for when a quick protein rise is needed (if hunger strikes) don't always eat the yolk, not more then two yolks a day,my personal decision. I will have fresh frozen and canned fruit and veggies on hand. I will also have flax seed in freezer, until I make into flax seed meal, and then store in frig. I try and have 1/4cup per day but have 1 1/2-2T, for sure. I need to run my nuts through the food processor, to be able to eat them (no proper fitting lower denture, at this time)due to weight lost and receding gum) I enjoy a smoothie once in a while, adding mostly greens to it. Helps to get my 5 cups of veggies in easier. Hope this helps you !
Sometimes a good reality check of what doesn't work is needed to really give us the missing understanding of ourselves. You can start fresh with a new wisdom and determination that will carry you along a healthy path now.
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. ~Mary Jean Irion
Now you have the confirmation that the way to eat you used to like does not work So no use giving up.
My recomendation is that you do not try to rush the weight loss. Just eat what you now know suits you better. The weight will come off by itself. Take a look at Peppermint Twist treads.

Great tips, Linda! You have been a tremendous help to me, and I hope others benefit also.

I would especially like to thank Goldie and geminisue. The words that you both spoke gave me a feeling of empowerment which I know you would not be expecting. It's a bit like a supermodel enabling me! An overweight, rundown, depressed mother who listens to just a few words and suddenly "it clicks".
It's good to be back. I feel healthier just being a part of this forum and yes Susana I will be taking it easier this time around. I tried to be the healthiest O straight away and felt that when I ate the wrong food that I was a failure. This time it will be little by little and I will definately not be so hard on myself this time around.
