Looks like it's been awhile since someone posted in this thread, but I just found it and wanted to say hi!  I had head about the BTD, but didn't know much about it until I was googling the other day.  I knew that being AB+ was rare, and I knew that all other types of diets (paleo/low carb, low calorie, etc) have never been successful for me so I wanted to see what it was all about.  I thought it was interesting that a lot of the foods I would eat on these other diets are on my avoid list, which was enough to convince me that I should give this a try.

I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant so I don't want to change anything too drastically, but I'm going to start making little changes here and there.   The biggies I think will be to avoid chicken, corn, oranges, and whole dairy and start eating more turkey, rice, lentils, and yogurt/kefir.  Hopefully I will feel a little better when pregnant and after I have the baby I can ramp it up a bit.  I got the book from the library and once I get through that I'll be interested in the other tests and SWAMI program and supplements.

Anyhow, glad to see other ABs - I wish we had our own little forum or something - or do we and I just haven't found it?

Welcome!  I really like the Turkey,Fish (though careful with pregnancy) and Lamb.  I don’t miss milk at all which is nice.  I really like the Almond milk and have ramped up the good cheeses.

I feel great and I am about 75% compliant.  Congrats on your pregnancy.

Hi krockak!

You might want to eliminate wheat right away, too.

Welcome krockak--and a big thank you for reviving this thread.  I hadn't seen it before today.

I think you will be very happy with following the BT way.  It will be good for you and your little 'bun in the oven.'

Keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks everyone!

I wouldn't know who to ask about this - but do you think the moderators would be open to creating boards for each of the blood types?  I know I am more interested overall in what other AB's post and don't have time to sift through some many other posts.   Ideas?

There are Genotype threads that would be helpful, and getting a secretor test is a great way to refine your diet. Swami would be instumental in tackling any pressing health issues you may have.

I think you'll find that a lot of valuable information is shared across the board, and many folks here have a lot of good info to share. Most of our specific issues can be addressed through high compliancy with our diets. If you have health issues that need addressing, use the search field first, and if you need additional help, feel free to start a new thread.

This has been discarded as an idea due to there being so few of some types, and the fact that we all help each other out...  If you start a thread about any topic, anyone who has pertinent information will respond to help, rather than only type AB, so it quickly becomes a mixed type thread.  The best you can do is read what you want or have time for, etc...

Krockak--I agree with Averno and Joe.

Great information is shared across all threads.  And, when you consider our BT--we have our A side and our B side.  And we share a similar nervous system with O's.  We're actually very versatile.

And, as Averno says--when you discover your secretor status and GT you will have even more to relate to than just the AB.
