I love really oily fishes. The rice may work, but I don't think I can have it with every meal. Although I have had some benefits from it, when I eat rice too often, I don't feel as good. |

Also smaller portion sizes might help Narnia. |

Aha!! I have an aha moment!! Maybe the secret is soaking the grains prior to cooking!! I must try that!! |

I rinse mine, using a strainer let the starch go down the drain. |

I have scrubbed my rice and rinsed several times always, but never soaked overnight, so that will be new for me. |

Old thread but didn't feel like making a new one. Same thing happened to me once a few years ago when I ate fish at a seafood restaurant. Immediately - orange oil coupled with diarrhea. Sister got it as well. Then it happened again just today (had 1 can of low mercury tuna from Stop & Shop - brand I don't normally get - normally don't get this reaction from Bumblebee tuna) and got diarrhea + greenish yellow oil today. This explains it here: http://voices.yahoo.com/oily-bowel-movement-concerned-1636603.html?cat=70No wonder I didn't enjoy it as much, it's not even tuna! Makes me mad. |
