This morning, I had a strong urge to go, and felt like it may be a loose stool. When I looked in the toilet, I was shocked to see something that I'd never seen before!
Green oil spots floating on the entire top water layer of the bowl! I guess it must be the EVOO that I ate on the food yesterday? It appears to not have been absorbed at all!! At the bottom was the skinny stool as usual - 1/2" diameter.
I had felt awful yesterday, due to two nights of very little sleep. (I was able to fall asleep the first night on the methyl b-12, however, on the next two nights, I was not able to fall sleep, even with melatonin). So, yesterday, I was achy all over, and every injury that I had ever suffered was throbbing! I was in misery!!
I did not take any methyl b-12 yesterday, and was able to sleep with the melatonin. So, I woke up more refreshed and all the pains are gone (thank God!). However, my stomach feels irritated after I had an egg for breakfast. It seems to be an unpredictable dance with the eggs and me. Some days I can eat them, and others I can't, which has not been the case pre-BTD. So, this I don't understand.
I thought that my gut was supposed to be healing and that I would be able to have a stronger digestive system, not a more disturbed one.
My AB husband is having far less digestive troubles on the BTD. He used to have problems on a nearly daily basis, while I might have had it about 5 or 6 times a year. Now, we have switched roles. Funny thing...actually, I had said to him last week, that we have switched diets. I'm eating more the way he used to, and he is eating more the way I used to....and our digestive troubles have switched as well...

The achy all over usually means to me that there is some detox happening... It is usually followed by some weird stools... I think this is part of the cleaning process that is somewhat undesirable to endure, but very beneficial later.
Your husband may be doing some initial healing before his body can do this cleanout... It may be coming later for him....
Well.....he's been having some really BAD, BAD headaches on a nearly daily basis!
Hmmmm....I though that the achyness was from lack of sleep, but you think that it was detoxing?
Have you ever had oil coming straight out?

What foods did you eat along with the EVOO?
Every morning create your day. If you don't, life will for you!

Headaches are typically due to digestive issues... He should be getting plenty of probiotics and enzymes into him, as well as ghee for the butyric acid...
I get really achy in the joints and muscles when I have a heavy toxin load... It is different than when I don't get adequate sleep...
I seem to recall something like that, but don't even remember all of the symptoms (or great details about some that only occurred once or twice) I have had during detox...
When I get a headache it's usually an indication I've eaten something toxic and it's leaving my system. Most of the time I'll take some Milk Thistle. Also this time of year it's important that you stay hydrated but that's likely a completely different issue than what you're husband is dealing with.

yes, ER does heal, give it time, patience and compliance.
have you had your regular checkup with your gastro, and your hub as well?

I ached for a whole year, probably even longer. Every day was a struggle. My arms, legs, lower gi, head, etc etc etc etc ached real bad. REAL BAD. Unlike anything I had ever encountered in my life. There were some days I felt like my skin was on fire, or had a bad sunburn, but didn't.
The good news is, it's doing good stuff, I believe, and it gets better. Depending on how toxic you are, will depend on how long it takes. I was VERY toxic. So, it took a LONG time before I stopped aching. Seemed like forever. I don't ache barely at all any more. Here and there, but praise the Lord, hallelujah, I think I'm through the worst of it. Although there is still work to be done for sure.
In the GTD book, under the explorer detoxification method Dr.D shares. Green is a sign of the liver cleansing itself. It's probably a good thing what you are experiencing. Just keep eating healthy. Don't quit now. If you're sure about your blood type, then all is well, even though it doesn't feel well. Headaches can be yeast killing for sure. And detox of any sort.
It will be worth it. Holy Basil helps inflammation, for what it's worth. Works really well for me. Almost as good as an aspirin.

When I first adopted the Genotype diet, I had a lot of body discomfort that came and went and lasted for 2 or 3 months. But it was WAY worth it! Body gets much lighter; less burdens on the gut and immune system, and it begins to increase in benefits as time goes on!
Try and ride it out and be as patient as you can.

It occurred to me that maybe you have some gut healing that needs to take place, that might be helped with Intrinsia. Also Polyflora, Deflect and ARA 6, if you aren't taking those things already.
Well...an interesting discovery! I had such a raw stomach, that I couldn't bear the thought of eating today, but I got hungry. MY DH suggested trying some tofu, so I made a Korean tofu soup with it...really hot with cayenne pepper.
I tasted it, and thought..."Man! My tongue is on fire!! I hope it doesn't finish me off!! Surprise, surprise! this soup with brown rice completely took away all the burning! Very strange! I don't understand. I always read to eat something very bland when you have stomach troubles.

OH! And the other interesting thing...I was feeling so jittery prior to eating this soup.
Afterward, I felt so calm and peaceful!

The one-size-fits-all diet information needs to be filtered through the BTD for your type...
Yeah...cayenne is suppose to be good for me.

Yeah...I had been thinking...since tofu didn't bother me, I must not be a nonnie.
But who would have thought that cayenne pepper would take away the acid stomach?

Yes! I inherited the A genes from my Dad!! We think so much alike!!
I didn't have loose stools anymore after I ate the cayenne and tofu. It didn't clean me out in that way.... It totally settled my raw stomach!!

your A gene is merely a psychosomatic pseudo A gene!

that brown rice may have had something to do with it too. i use evoo on all my fish but i am not drawn to the really oily fish like halabut and cod. you may have simply eaten more oils than you could absorb, though it sounded like some detox issues as well as extra acid. you may need more grains with your food. try having that brown rice(with all it's fiber )regularly with your meals and see how you feel.
nothing to do? who has that!? swami made me an explorer! married to an AB+ mom to a B+ boy
