can you give us a menu sample of what you eat? also how much water you drink on a daily basis...... and also what your daily exercise routine looks like.... something else might probably be the cause of your constipation, not the lemon.
ever tried magnesium before bed? |

I squeeze a fresh lemon into a cup, add warm/hot water and guzzle it down, first thing in the morning. It helps me go to the potty. I have found that it works when 1. taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. (I drink it after taking my cytomel sublingually) 2. freshly squeezed lemon, not lemon juice sold at the supermarket, and 3. mixed in warm/hot water. It has been an antidote to constipation. |

I met a ninety-somthing year old woman at the organic market, she was purchasing lemons and said she squeezes one per morning. I could not get over her energy, her zest, her positivity! She said the lemon stuff keeps her insides clean and young! |

Do I guess right best not to mix lemon with blood thinning drugs as warfarin and perhaps also herbs as ginger, gingko ...and so on ? Just as a precaution, as I heard of some hemorrhagic problems. I too had to see blue hematomas from the jaw to my breasts with wisdom teeth surgery, may be for a supplement with ginger and gingko together. Today I'd stop them before the smallest surgery, to be on the safe side. Maria Giovanna |

MG,
I suspect the blood thinning effects don't kick-in short term until you hit about 5-6 lemons.

With any blood thinning medications, consistency is important. So if you do it everyday it is better then just once in awhile. We (in the hospital) tell people to eat a some salad every day the dose gets adjusted based on your individual blood values. If you are inconsistent with your eating then the dose is harder to adjust. Does that make sense? So drinking lemon and water daily would be fine.. as long as you are consistent. Just had a lady with an INR of 11 . |

Morning! This is a great article. I can remember my Mom being an advocate of lemon water since I was a child. Of course that was not that long ago |

beachlvr58, Thanks for the great link!!! Just a note to everyone drinking lemon water, please be careful to rinse your mouth after drinking it or drink it through a straw. The acid can eat at teeth. |

Lemon and water bothers me after drinking it for a couple of weeks. I start getting stomach pain after I drink it then I have to stop. Most likely part of my citrus allergy. |

Thanks Lola, Since 3 days I went back to my diet exclusively on proteins and vegetables, I throw all the fruit, goat and sheep cheese, sprout rye and spelt bread, rice, millet, honey, no carbohydrates at all:
1.- When I wake up 2 to 3 glass of purchased water, not from the tap. 2.- In one hour I eat for breakfast a couple of boiled eggs with 3 leaves of boiled Swiss Chard 1 spoon of olive oil, 1 raw garlic and very little salt. 3.- For lunch: 3.1 I boil for 25 minutes broccoli, carrots, pepper, onion, zucchini, with a little piece of fish/meat/seafood and salt, then I pass all by the food mincer to make a like cream. Then I add virgin olive oil and raw garlic. Some times with Fucus or Dulce algae with 3.2 grilled BTD allowed meat, fish or seafood, 4.- For snack in the afternoon I crush some almonds and walnuts together and I eat them. 5.- At night the remain vegetable cream I did for lunch with virgin olive oil. Some times with Fucus or Dulce algae, or lettuce and some gelatin. 6.- I have 2,5 to 3 liters of water per day.
Some days I breakfast the leftovers. I change the vegetables of the cream for others allowed, or I use lettuce with raw onion or other allowed vegetables.
Thats it, not very please but without the BTD Avoids.
When I add the lemon I get constipated and If I use one full lemon I get belly ache, can be my friends Candida Krusei that do not like the food?, but I decided not to invite them to eat any more, so they will starve or will die of disgust with the proteins and the vegetables I hope, plus the other stuff that I am going to use if I they are not Avoids for 0's I will ask this in the other thread and Polyfora O when I get it.
7.- Today I had an unusual energy I broke my record: 40x25mts swimming pools in 1 hour even with my not so good left knee. I exercise every day about 40 minutes.
8.- I take my Calcium Magnesium tablet with dinner, plus 200 mg C and 75mg B1, I sleep fine now.
Lola what do you think would be the problem?

I would try getting a secretor test done, and then tweak my diet according to that.
you can also think of following the health series book which best addresses your issues.
explain what s in the gelatin? do you grind all your food into a cream, often?
I like the fiber I get from all the food I chew actually. |

Thanks a lot Lola, In the other post I explain what happened to my test, books and products: http://www.dadamo.com/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1258472723/s-0/Yes I temporary grind the soup and seeds, but I know that can be bad for the natural fiber of the vegetables, 1.- Should I stop grinding? 2.- I eat gelatin for the cartilage. It said "Neutral Gelatin, Ingredients: Gelatin type A, 240 Bloom." I asked in the grocery what is made of and they believe is made of fish tails. Probably it is true, it gets bad in less time in the refrigerator than the one I purchased in South America. I think I will call the manufacturer that is "Royal" to know the exact information. Joejac, I know this is alittle off topic but i just wanted to chime in. You don't seem to be consuming enough protein for an "O" according to what you have listed as your daily diet. Maybe you could make sure to have some protein with dinner too, looks like your doing fine with breakfast and lunch. Hope you don't mind me adding my 2 cents?. |

Curious to know how lemon water would be better than taking a probiotic like kefir? I have read a lot about people using lemon water if they had things like constipation to get them back on track but wondered how it exactly worked in the intestines to make things work so well. |

joejac, please remember that even tho it should be theoretically okay for you to have lemons, individually, maybe not so. We are all different, so even tho we can tweak our diets alot, the odds that one particular diet will be a good fit for all of that blood type, are not great. Swami and Swami Express help to tweak things even further. There's a gal here that is an O and cannot tolerate beef. Theoretically, it should be great for her. Just our own little differences.
Lemon and water give me a stomach ache. I can't tolerate it. Guess I'll have to go with red wine and MSM.
anything to have a little wine huh?
