Every day glass or two [small] of red wine, dinner time, and feeling good with it.

That's me, almost. I don't go 'mad', but sometimes one is too many. |

Type A and I enjoy a glass of red wine very infrequently. Although after reading the book, I may increase my enjoyment. |

As an AB non-secretor, I usually do everything to extremes. I used to drink way too much (red wine was my drink of choice) so I've totally cut alcohol out of my life. It's a catch 22 since non-secretors are more likely to be alcoholics yet they also get benefits from red wine. |

I really don't care for the taste of beer or wine at all, and with alcoholism in the family, that was just a turn off to ever getting started drinking. I do lick the measuring spoon after I measure rum or brandy to make cakes and truffles though |

I have one glass of red wine a week or so..makes me very relaxed so I know if the reservatol isn't working the alcohol is thinning the blood and helping relieve stress. Warriors have thick blood. My dad had a stroke..He was a Warrior. |

I'm thinking of eliminating alcohol entirely. I don't drink often (couple times a month), but when I do, I'll have an entire bottle of wine. I struggle with compulsive behaviors, and alcohol makes me more compulsive (both in terms of drinking it and the ways I act if I've had more than a glass). Lots and lots of alcoholism in my family: both grandparents and mild alcoholism for my father and brother and one sister. None of my friends drink (they're mostly buddhist), and I never miss it at social functions. Also, I'm quitting coffee anyway, as of this morning. My thoughts: Why not eliminate all compulsive substances? |

Now that I am older and wiser < ahem > I don't drink at all. As an O I also have high acid and got me a nice ulcer going on, so drinking isnt such a good idea. I did like mojitos though. Yum. |

I'm an O and I generally have half a glass of wine on Friday nights and another half a glass on Saturday afternoons. Sometimes I'll drink a whole glassful (or rather, refill the small wine glass) We make a blessing over wine (or grape juice) at night and in the afternoon of Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath, every Friday night and all day Saturday.) If there's a Jewish holiday, I'll have another half glass per festive meal (so 1 glass per day) on those "weekdays" as well.
Occasionally, I'm stuck with only white wine in the house on a Friday night (an avoid for me.) When that happens, I have one sip instead of a glassful. |

Oh, shucks. You want me to give up my beloved mustard greens? Just kidding, of course. I used to believe one should not partake of anything that might become addictive. Then I got older and wiser too (ha) and realized it actually was better all around (especially for my judgmental attitude) to be moderate in all things and be a little more careful what I require or condemn. Not saying anybody else is doing this, I'm just saying where I am now, if it matters to anybody. |

For me alcohol is not anything evil - but something very pleasurable - something I enjoy with good food. I have never been a heavy drinker - not even when I was a silly teen. I have just always enjoyed a nice glass of red wine or 2 in the weekend when I cook better /nicer food.
My mum and stepdad both O types drink a bit to much imho Not that they are alchoholics- but they just use wine more for its relaxing effect/ to get down after a strssful week = I think they drink too much at the time-maybe 3-5 glasses.
My sister B type and I hardly ever drink more than 1-2 glass at the time My dad (AB) was the same 1-2 glasse and t was connected with pleasure - enjoying the flavour more than its effect.
I find it hard to imagine a life without the flavour of good wine... but that is just me.

I usually have a glass of white wine in the evening a couple times a week. At a party I will tend to drink a bit more. Occasionally Ill break down and have a rum & coke for old times sake or when I dont like the quality of the wine, but the corn syrup is what does me in, not the rum. |

Four bourbon and cokes each friday night. 2 for each half of the football. Generally always regret it in the morning. In the non-football season I'd be lucky to have one drink a month and that would more than likely be a glass of wine. I don't know why the football brings out the bourbon drinker in me but I guess it has something to do with slinging off at the refs. . I can't get drunk though. That kills me. I take days to recover from even the most mildly annebriated states. As it is now, saturday mornings run at a slightly slower pace than the rest of the week and that's with the bourbon being only about 5% alcohol. I'd be a mess if it was any stronger. I really shouldn't drink at all but in winter, the friday night "wind down" is just too alluring. . One day I'll learn. |

I went with my date to one fraternity party in college. It was the last one I went to because I thought that was just the silliest thing I ever saw with everyone chug-a-lugging their beers just to see who could hold the most beer. My viewpoint hasn't changed to this day. I do drink a glass of merlot with dinner every day these days and it seems to make dinner quite special. Hah, especially since my husband has taken over the cooking. Life is good! |

Will sip a little red wine for the health benefits, but other than that I hate the taste. I guess my Super Taster status prevents me from liking it. |
