Hi everybody,
I started with the bloodtype diet 2 weeks ago and so far I love it! I have blood type A.
The only thing that I am not sure of is the use of lemons. I sometimes have artritis and I have a feeling that lemons are not ok for me to use. Does somebody know more about this? And maybe what I can use instead of lemons, since vinegar also isnot good for bloodtype A.
Thanks.
Johanna

libralion, wishing you a warm welcome to BTD and the forums!

In the Blood Type Arthritis book, lemons are beneficial for A's, so go for it. Just don't add anything new (food, drink, supplements, vitamins) for a few days, so that you can tell if the lemon is negatively affecting you at all.

Fresh squeezed lemon, not bottled.

Lemon of lime juice helps clear out mucus.  If I haven't had some for a while, I may have more clear than the body can really handle, so easing into it may help...

If I am taking it regularly, I can take an ice cube in a 12 oz. glass of water and drink it each day...

Thank you all for your answers. Yes I noticed the past few days, that my body is detoxing and probably that is why I feel badly and not the lemons that I use.
The secretor status, is that the same as the positive or negative that you have for a bloodtype? I am A pos. Does that mean I have the A secretor status then or is that something completely different?

And where can I find guideliness for the bloodtype diet for people that have artritis? I couldnot find that.

The + or - is for Rh type.  You can read about secretor status, which is something else entirely, here:

Dr D has written a series of small books on specific health issues. There is one on Arthritis. (BTW that was the issue that I was researching when I found BTD - painful swollen joints. Wheat and Potatoes prove to be  my worse poisons.)

Here is a link to  Dr Dís health protocols.

When I first started BTD I got the books at the public library and saved my money for food and suppliments. Gradually I am getting the books as I can afford them.

Thanks! I just ordered the book from Dr. Adamo about arthritis.
I am curious what he has to say about it.
And thanks for the other links.
