Quoted from Graedyn
The only thing that seems to give me trouble is (organic) sugar. Sugar and higher-carb fruits kind of make feel like I retain fluid for a period of time after I eat them, like puffy hands/fingers and feet/toes, my cheeks feel tight (facial cheeks, not the other.   ), eyes feel kind of big for their sockets, that sort of thing.  I've learned to just avoid sweets of any kind and instead use stevia as a sweetener if I need one.

yeah, it seems like sugar is sugar is sugar.     I only use agave these days and even it seems to be giving me a fit, unless it was the apples, rice flour, or amaranth flour.  Since apples are a black dot on GTD, I'll blame them   At any rate, no sugar tonight in my coffee, no sugar tonight in my tea.  sing along w/ me folks

Graedyn, some on the board have simply tried going by the nonnie guidelines for a time instead of the secretor guidelines, to see which works better.  That might be a good thing for you to try as a stopgap until you can afford the secretor test (you should find out for sure at some point).
