Does anyone know where crawfish stand on the A nonnie list? We seem to have them in a lot of meals here and people like to do crawfish boils.

If they're not listed, they're considered neutral. Try not to add anything new to your diet at the same time. That way if they are a problem, it will be easily detectable.

Thanks...its just hard when you are invited and something different ends up on your plate. I feel like every WE I have to blow the whole diet because I can't be picky when eating at a friends. It is already hard enough to let them let me avoid with the cheese and bread!

When I saw the crawfish I thought Oh well that is a bottom carnivor like shrimp so it must be an avoid....just curious...anyway, the whole dinner wrecked havoc on my intestines the next AM!

I would guess that 'crawdads' would be like crab or lobster in their category. I hope you can find out what they are. I guess when one eats out, we have to eat beforehand, & just nibble at the outing. But that would defeat one purpose of eating out-to give us a break from cooking!

Unless you ate alot of avoids, this prob tells the tale. I have at times taken my own food, but if you aren't comfortable doing that, try to get some Deflect and take some before and after you eat. And maybe some more before bed. Snacking before you go, as Mrs T O+ suggests, is helpful as well. Good luck! Don't get discouraged. You might feel icky for a day or two, but seriously, one not so compliant meal out of 21 is so much better than you were eating before right?

I would put them in the same category as lobsters.  But then, I'd call butter peas/beans and lima beans the same thing, yet they're rated differently for me.

There are numerous genera of both Crayfish & Shrimp - In LECster the Lectin is a similar action to 'Shrimp's.
THough the shrimp mentioned in LECster are more akin to Tiger Prawns than the vast majority of other shrimp...

Unfortunately the genus of Shrimp mentioned TYPEbase is different from LECster and the Crawdad in LECster may, or may not be, the Crawfish you have.

Crawfish boils typically have a lot of red pepper in the water and often have pork sausage, corn on the cob, irish potatoes, and sometimes mushrooms added to the pot. A whole slew of type A avoids in one pot.
