I searched all the soups in recipe base, but couldn't find it......but don't let that stop you.....just start chopping those garlic cloves, how many? whatever...I'd go with 10. and a big handful of parsley, chopped, then some water or broth,  simmer gently for awhile, squeeze of lemon, or tad of cider vinegar, sea salt to taste and when done, maybe a sprinkle of nutr. yeast and cayenne. Enjoy!! Get well?!!

pm mikeo... it is his grandmother's recipe. The new blog software makes it harder to find individual entries from blogger's archives (where it was first posted)

As I remember it... bring a quart of water to a boil... add a couple cloves of chopped garlic and a tablespoon or so of olive oil. Reduce to a simmer for about five minutes. Then add a big handful of parsley (preferably the Italian flat-leafed kind) and sea salt to taste.

Feel better soon!!!

It got so bad, that this bordig when I took Hibself to work I picked up a bottle of ghod-knows-what that said Daytibe, a bottle of Nighttibe and a big box of tissues that probbised to have lotion id theb. Oh, and thed somebody offered to brig hib hobe so I could stay hobe.

(Tissues, a blanky, a warm Pomeranian for my legs, a warm gold-capped conure snuggling under my hair, and not having to get back in the car. Oh, life is good, I got the gratitude attitude workin' overtime.)

Oh, hey thakks, Kristid.

Yep...Kristin is pretty right on.  And...for Mike...it is blog number 73.

INGREDIENTS: serves one to two

24 oz of water

2 or 3 cloves of garlic

Large Handful of fresh parsley

I tablespoon of Olive Oil

Sea salt

1 serving of Rice Spaghetti or small spelt noodles or basmati rice (all neutrals)

Pour the water into a medium pot and as itís heating up to a boil, start chopping up two to

three cloves of garlic into fine pieces (you can crush it as well). Once the water looks like itís about

to boil, put the garlic in the water along with the olive oil. Let it go for a few minutes. Meanwhile start chopping up some fresh parsley (not dried) and when you have chopped up a nice large handful, place that in the pot as well. Add the sea saltÖI usually use a ľ teaspoon but you can always add less depending on your tastes. Once the whole thing has boiled well for 5 minutes, put it on low heat and start cooking your Spaghetti, spelt noodles or rice(cook as directed). If you use the spaghetti, what I usually do is break it up into 2 inch pieces and then place it into the boiling water. Once this is cooked, usually 7 to 10 minutes, add it to your soup and let it stand for a few minutes before serving.

Elderberry tea, syrup or jelly regularly and you'll never have another cold again..(or flu, or pneumonia that's viral)I or my sons haven't been sick in 3 years.  Dr. D did a whole report on elderberry instead of the flu shot years ago...2004? 2005? That's why I started eating/drinking it. If you're sick now, get some elderberry syrup (sambucal) and your cold will be gone in a day or two.

Sorry to hear your feeling down Osuz.
be careful and get some MD help if you are not getting better soon! I had that stuff and it was scary once in moved in to my lungs and the wheezing started. I had to get an inhaler for relief of the restriction in my lungs. I am still not all the way over all of the symptoms and its been a month.

Rodney, I'm keeping a sharp eye on it. It's not a cold anymore, maybe bad sinus infection. It did get alot worse for a couple days, but it's been tracking the same way these things have gone for me for years, with the added benefit of BTd/GTD living (mostly). In other words, I expect this to go away on its own, and I have a doctor now that I can see if I get nervous. Since btding, the last couple of times I've had things like this, including the flu, they went away without antibiotics. I started out blaming this on cheating too much, but there's been a tough respiratory system illness going around, and it's just my turn.
I haven't been on the forums much lately, Rodney, hope you're feeling better with all your troubles these last weeks.
