I have long wanted to plant blue flax all over my yard. Only recently found out what this flower is called. It is so beautiful to me..........grows wild along all the highways.......apparently requires no care    Of course I wouldnt want to use anything along the highways, but will have to look into how to harvest both of these plants/flowers.  Thanks for bringing this up Gem

what I love about chia seeds is the fact that they can be eaten raw and are not as hard as linseeds.
in fact they are quite crunchy!

they also produce a slimy consistency when soaked.......and sprout easily like the chia pets Mike mentioned.
they remind me of poppy seeds.
