I've been eating fruit in the morning a lot, especially a banana. I'm wondering if this is not the best breakfast food. If not, what is the best time during the day to eat fruit? What is the best kind of food to eat in the morning?

It's fine to eat fruit in the morning as long as you eat protein w/ it. More protein than fruit. Personally, I tend to stay away from fruit more in the evening because I have blood sugar issues. No time to burn it off before bed equals early morning headaches for me. But if you have none of those issues, you surely could try to eat some fruit in the evening as well.........just listen to your body and see if it's mad at you or not for doing so

I like to have my fruit right after the morning walk, while I'm fixing my breakfast steak and veggies. You can have your fruit whenever, it will digest better if 1/2 hour before or a couple hours after a meal.

Ok, cool thanks for the input. My main problem I think is that I'm not eating enough protein in the morning. I should buy that protein powder stuff.

I think you just need another steak !!!   Also, sweet potatoes are very filling and very satisfying ( especially if you are a potatoe junkie).  They make wonderful hashbrowns which would be good for cold mornings!!

I feel best for the morning if I have steak and parsley for the core of my morning chow.
I think, in my own humble opinion, that you should be eating some real animal protein for breakfast.  It has made a huge difference in how I feel.  Good luck in your experimenting!

The happiest O's seem to eat red meat for breakfast!  (and veggies on the side)

I've been at this for a year, and love it, but.......I guess I haven't progressed to steak for breakfast yet. do most of you have organic meat??I'd like fome feedback on this. I feel that eating steak for breakfast is just too much meat, especially if it's got all that junk in it. My usual breakfast would be French toast made with Ezekiel bread, some walnuts and figs, and herbal tea. I must admit, I'm usually STARVING by 10:30 or 11:00. I guess my body is telling me I've eaten not enough protein??

If I don't have protein for breakfast, not only am I hungry again around 10am, but if I eat grains at breakfast, I'm also tired at 10am and unable to properly focus. If you can't handle steak for b'fst, try some eggs and turkey bacon. As jayneeo pointed out, Wellshire Farms makes a turkey bacon that is nitrate-free and very good.

It is not my responsibility to convince anyone of anything.

Right. Too much grain, too little protein. Meat that is grass-fed hasn't got any 'junk' in it from an O's perspective. Have a breakfast that would be about the same size and protein content as your other larger meal for the day. Eat some greens. Feel good.

I believe many blood type O's have expressed on the forum that a good breakfast includes a good source of protein such as red meat, lamb, salmon, bison, turkey, et al. and vegetablesand/or a salad .

Fruits and grains can be added, however, it may be useful to pay attention to the portion/frequency recommendations as outlined in LR.  It can become easy to go over the grain and fruit food categories if one is not cognizant.

Many individuals, irrespective of blood type, find that they digest fruit better if it is eaten away from meals--such as having fruit first thing upon rising for breakfast or in between meals as a snack.

This decision may take some testing and trial and error to determine if 'fruit separation' suits an individuals' health and digestive needs.

Thanks for your responses. I've got a number of a source for organic meat. This will make me feel more comfortable eating meat in the morning. and i'll try fruit as the in between snack instead of at meals.
