If I get real ambitious I do a ground turkey, veg and bean combo in my slow cooker overnight. Use lots of powedered mustard and tumeric in it.

Hey Wit -

Will you please provide your actual recipe?  I love anything in the slow cooker.

And thanks to everyone for sharing their breakfast ideas!

I have just started the type A diet this week. I am looking to get away from all the Ezekiel breads etc too for meals. I am concerend about all the soy as I am menopausal and hypothyroid ,but I am eating the soy as directed. I put stevia in soft tofu and put it in the micro to make a pudding. I like tofu so that is the way I will get my protein. I did find that I have put in a bit of weight in the short periodt of time eating the ezekiel bread and rice cakes with peanut butter. I used to do uh oh atkins and found that it did work for me, but I want to feel better and be healthier. I do feel less tired already.

I would love to know if anybody can share their weight stories as I am concerned about putting on more weight. I gather it may take a while to start reaping the benfits of the change in food.

Also, anybody know where I can buy fig powder as I am goingt to try the metobilic protocol and the detoxification protocol? SHould you do both at the same time or one at a time and then which one first? Thanks

a few important things crossed my mind when reading your post.

I d look into doing my secretor test, to be able to fine tune your food choices even more.
also doing the serotype test would help reach that goal.

the menopause book would be a targeted guide to follow, for your condition.

let me know if you need help finding these suggestions.

typebase has all the updated values on food.

yes potatoes are an avoid for both secretor A s and nonnies

but sweet potatoes get to be neutral if you happened to be a non secretor!!

this is the reason to get your secretor test as well as your serotype test done.
if you happened to be an A 2 meat becomes a neutral, too.
Type A2 can eat more meat then A1 so a Non secretor A2 is as about the close you
can get to be an O.
perhaps this is the reason you did so well with Atkins in the past!

Welcome to the forum, mindyf.

In the past, I believe it was stated on the BTD Forums that in lieu of using fig powder, eating a few dried figs before bedtime would suffice (I would favor organic, if possible).

A web search on google might provide some supplement proprietors that sell fig powder.

Yes, you can perform two health protocols concurrently:
