I am a type O with an candida problem,I have allot of extreme food allergies,I have a hard time not overeating carbs because I am so hungry all the time.I have no problems eating 2 big chicken breasts in a sitting or more,I was a vegan for a long time.I am afraid to overeat protein. So I frequently turn to either a little fruit or gluten free grain, but I am wondering which feeds the yeast more, grain or fruit.

I am severely allergic to gluten, eggs, soy, peas, certain beans, nuts etc....

Last night I was so hungry in the middle of the night I ended up eating an entire bag of rice pasta, but I felt terrible all night my blood sugar was spiked and I was so shakey and today I feel terrible....What should I do when I wake up ravenously hungry from hypoglycemia???

Stick with the protein...so much better for you as an O.  Have ready made steak, meatballs, hamburgers (NO bun), roast beef, lamb. jerky...Oh  can't do eggs that's right.  The beneficial meats especially.  Just take small bites and chew slowly.  It calms your nerves and stomach and gets your sugar levels back on track.    What about taking some L-tyrosine?  That  helps also.

I'm betting you are a nonnie...will save you a seat.

Both fruit and grain react the same way in my system, which sounds a lot like yours. I was a vegi for 35 years before finding this diet. The best thing for getting rid of the shakes in the morning is the meat. I had to do small portions of ground grass fed about six times a day. Still have to grind my meat for digestive purposes. I wonder if you have tried ostrich? It is one of the first things that I switched over with, my body seemed to be able to tolerate it better than the beef in the beginning.
I am with Debra +...will be looking for that nonnie sign with your name soon.

You have more to fear from grain than you do from meat.  For your blood type, beef is like nectar.  Just try and find chemical-free, naturally pasture fed meats.  Your body will love you for it.  O's do not thrive on a low-meat diet.

Along with the protein, try to get in some green leafys if you can. As a fellow O, I've found they really, really help stabilize your systems and they don't feed the candida beast the way fruits or some starchy root vegetables can do. One of my favorite snacks is small pieces of steak wrapped in romaine lettuce. You can add a sprinkle of wasabi or cayenne if you want a kick of spice. Yummy!

My husband used to suffer like that but since btd his system is more tolerant of both and he has no problems.

I was thinking do you get enough fat ?
When one eats mainly lean meat and veggies you can get extremeely hungry.
- you NEED good fat - olive oil and ghee ! at evey meal especially if don´t get any fat from eggs, nuts etc.
Chicken breast is rather lean.
Old indian and other "nature people"  knew that it was dangerous/ not great if proteinand fat did not balance:
When hunting late in winter/ early spring -animals was too lean or if they had to depend on small animalls like rabbits they suffered from "rabbit starvation."

I have inflammatory bowel disease and malabsorption,so raw leafy veggies are killer on my guts.
I use olive oil, flax oil, avacados, pumpkin seeds for fat,I don't always have it every meal though,so I will definately start using them at every meal. Thanks for the info about the native Americans that was very interesting.

Tarranae, don't eat the raw greens, not with the gut problems you have. Long cooked collards are awesome!!!Cook them in ghee with a bit of water.....!
