I'm curious ... does anybody have this book or know of it?

It really sounds interesting !!
A good old fashioned wholesome recipe book, full of wisdom and centers itself on 100 % real foods, basically along the lines of Dr. D'Adamo, of course I still beleive in following our blood type nevertheless; however, I intend to take a little here and there just to broaden my meal choices; I love to experiment with different recipes, ALWAYS remaining compliant of course !!!
and keeping in mind what I have since learned with the BTD

I think it is a really good book as long as you put BTD first
- like I don´t serve milk for my sweet O( not even raw  - and I won´t eat any corn, rye or chicken...
BUT the knowledge about getting real natural food  are really good
and most of the recipes are very good (especially for a B )

I think it has made be look more carefully at my own B diet - like I don´t do as much sugar and grain as I used to.
I eat more cultured milk and I choose whole milk over skimmed milk- The skimmed milk made me abuse milk and crave sweets!
I have learned to boil down stock to small concentrated cubes that I keep in my frrezer instead of using really bad stock cubes from the stores.  I don´t do so many cereals and quick risen bread as I used to.

I do eat grains ... they add so much pizzaz to my protein and vegetable dishes; however,  I would like to cut down just a little and I do eat one dairy product each day but don't overdo it either and very rarely I'll eat two portions in the dairy department per day however; it's rare ... I'll either have some yogurt or kefir, feta cheese or parmesan or perhaps mozzarella/bocconcini ... etc ... and I've given up milk, since I gave up my vanilla cafelattes (they were heavenly though ...sigh ...) that I so adored !!
I do feel better though, hence that's the price I have to pay ... oh well ... so far so good ... and I'm psyched about eating healthier, the rewards r awesome !!!

I'm just a little worried 'cause the Dairy Queen season is upon us ... now THAT is gonna be one hell of a bridge to cross !!!

Last year The Dairy Queen became a daily treat; however, this year I'm all the wiser with BTD in my life !!

Ingredients for DQ vanilla soft serve - milkfat and nonfat milk, sugar, corn syrup, whey, mono and diglycerides, artificial flavor, guar gum, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, and vitamin A palmitate.

Of course, for the blizzard, they add other wonderfuls like Oreos with their own set of avoids...

Not quite as bad is to buy some Breyer's Natural Vanilla Ice Cream and top it to please...  Or even better - make your own "ice cream" so that it is as compliant as you want it.

I have made my own ice cream many times...  Alas, it was prior to BTD, so the recipes are conventional and the freezer quit about the time we were starting BTD.  Since my wife is an A, we tend to limit dairy as much as we can and haven't purchased a new freezer...  

Maybe someday I'll use some plain yogurt, vanilla, and fruit juice to see if I can generate something similar to ice cream...  I find I really don't desire the sweets, though.

From listening to Nonnies talk, I'd guess it is my genes!!!  I never liked really sweet things as a child, and it keeps getting so that I want less and less sweets.

I just finished dinner.  I sauteed a thinly sliced onion in ghee, added a chopped sweet potato, garlic, spices and some water.  Cooked it until the potato chunks were soft.  That was as sweet as I needed.

As you decrease the amount of sugar and other sweeteners, you will gradually experience a changing of cravings.  Gradually lower the quantity of honey and other highly sweet condiments, because they tend to create more cravings!

Grains also tend to create cravings for sweets, so be careful with them..

Keep reading the ingredient lists on icecreams in the store.  Several, like Hagan Das vanilla, have simple ingredient lists.  Then you can add your own goodies at home.

Ur advice is golden Victoria, hence I thank-u very much and I can also tell u that u r absolutely right !!  

I've completely cut OUT white sugar  ...somedays r so difficult though ... however,  if I do eat sweet stuff it comes ONLY in the form of honey, natural fruit jam, dried figs, dried raisins ... etc ...

I'm so proud of myself 'cause it's NOT easy coming from an absolute sugar nut

however; I've made a decision and I intend to stick by it, 'cause like the saying goes:
The proof is in the pudding and I feel ALOT better nowadays !!

I do eat grains on a daily basis ... sigh ... that too though, I hope
to eventually work on and perhaps eat smaller quantities ...
