We have been reading "Health Wars" And I wondered if points raised within those pages have been commented on here on this forum. I have not seen any, but that doesn't mean much. Looking at the list of foods in one part I was interested to see a recommended division between "alkali ash" foods and "ash" foods. The two have recommended ratios between them that would seem to follow the way I have been trying to eat while following the BTD though I've at most only vagely even heard of the alkali/ acid concept of dietary strictures. I believe Dr. D mentioned that acid alkali issues were a non-issue ultimately. Did I get that right. iemnli

Some aspects of the alkaline-acid ash theory are useful, but as with 'food-combining' much of these concerns were just built into the diet structure of the BTD to the extent (different for different types) than they were necessary.

I think this is also doable, merely for the O's in getting more of the indicated minerals to get the tissue balanced, dito in augmenting the intake of their O'specifique veggies. Next is: important...try to get coated minerals, so they can do their job really good in your small intestines, and won't cut you up (or off) your stomach acidity!!
This is also a big issue for all other bloodtypes
At the other hand, here comes also the question of the autonomous nervesystem into the game...some are prone to be more the vagotonic type, some are merely the oposite....so this plays also a role in the whole system (you can read about this here too, please goooooogle it )
I just finished a book about the acidity/alkaline.....(hope I wrote it right ) and found at the last pages the following sentences: here it's about the enzymatic activities for gendiagnostics: the genotypes of gluthadionstransferase s are GST M1, GST P1 and GST T1. Negative GST-activities might be prone onto the *polymorphisme* of a coded gene. Ahaa here are also the polymosphismes of the cellactivities to be found.....
hey Peter now it did made clickediclick in my head...you talked about the mutations and wildtypes and homozygotes and heterozygotes 2 years ago in IfHI 05.....and sorry I think my english was too bad to get all what you were talking about....now, my dear, I got ya .....before it was merely a form of *guessing*..... or jus intuition what you talked about ....woohooo I understand more and more from the background....that means also not only polymorphisme of the bodyshapement, but also the cellular -one was meant....yeeeehhhaaaaaa.....no more doubts... I am on the right track with BTD ,)
Thank you for your reply Dr. D, Credence publications seem to be forging a frontal attack on all the things that should be questioned these days. Has there been any mutual recognition between camps? Any direct exchanges? Has "reading in" been done? I was thinking of trying the fruit before anything else each day suggestion. Seems like an O might just have had that kind of luck while out hunting for breakfast of a morning long ago. iemnli
